CASA SOLMAR is a beautiful villa located in Portugal’s stunning Silver Coast near to the medieval town of Obidos. Fully furnished self-catering townhouse with shared condominium pool and play park. Located in the country-side with many paths and backroads for long walks.

The house has 2 good sized bedrooms so is the perfect location for a quiet holiday with a small size family group. Garden patio to the rear of the house. The cloakroom downstairs is very handy for use when occupying the common areas like the lounge, kitchen and rear terrace. The bedrooms upstairs share a large family bathroom which has a bath shower, toilet, bidet and wash basin with vanity mirror.

There is ample parking to the front of the villa with wonderful views of the mountains and the lake reservoir of Obidos. This makes for some very pleasant walks from the house. There are shops, a restaurant and a mini-mercado just 2 minutes walk from the house and this will tide you over till you get some property grocery shopping done in a supermarket in Caldas da Rainha.

The thermal spa of Caldas da Rainha also lies just a few minutes away by car. Here you can explore its famous daily fruit and fish markets as well as enjoying its upmarket shops, cafes and restaurants There are also various hypermarkets here for all your shopping needs. Foz do Arelho and its golden beaches are only a fifteen minute drive. Here you'll find many restaurants and bars for refreshments while enjoying your stay at the beach.

Changeover day: Saturday. We would prefer a Saturday changeover day but we are flexible. Access is available from 4pm. Departures are required prior to noon. Accommodation Bedrooms: -1 master bedroom with a wardrobe and balcony with view of lagoon. -1 twin room with wardrobe and individual balcony. Bathrooms: -1 Family bathroom with jacuzzi spa, w.c., bidet and hand basin. -1 Small bathroom on the ground floor with W.C and hand basin. Living / dining room: - Large living room with sofas and LCD TV, DVD, cable reception, Hi-fi. - Dining table with 4 chairs. Kitchen: - Fully equipped including *Washing machine, *Tumble dryer, *Dishwasher, *Gas hob, *Electric oven, *Fridge / freezer, *Kettle, *Toaster. Outside: -The shared swimming pool and play area are ideal for those relaxing times at the pool.

The Silver Coast of Portugal has managed to avoid the over development and crass commercialisation of Portugal’s other major tourist resorts. Its beauty and charm has therefore gone undiscovered amongst visitors from Europe, but has always been popular with the Portuguese. The soft, sandy beaches on the Atlantic coastline are cherished by the local population and provide welcome relief from the bustle of city life. As those bustling resorts have become more crowded and expensive, the distinctiveness of the Silver Coast and all that it has to offer, stands in sharp relief, by offering a real slice of Portugal, superb stable weather and great facilities / amenities at affordable prices. It is not surprising therefore; that we are now seeing large numbers of European visitors, and some from far beyond, who are discovering what the Portuguese have known all along.

São Martinho do Porto is a little Silver Coast gem that sits along a horse-shoe bay just a few kilometres north of the other beautiful resort town of Foz do Arelho and just 10 km south of the ancient fishing village of Nazaré. Nestled in between these two towns’ lies beautiful São Martinho do Porto. Protected from the Atlantic by a naturally formed, shell shaped bay, this delightful resort town offers white sand and calm blue waters to a small but ever growing number of sun seekers. We can’t think of any reason why you would want to leave Sao Martinho, but it is an excellent base from which to explore the rest of the Silver Coast.

The medieval town of Obidos is located just a few minutes down the road by car. Famous for its castle and widely regarded as one of the prettiest towns in Portugal, it's fast becoming a Mecca for chocolate lovers who visit the annual chocolate festival. There is also a good hypermarket there.

The thermal springs of Caldas da Rainha also lie just a few minutes away by car. Here you can explore its famous daily fruit and fish markets as well as enjoying its upmarket shops, cafes and restaurants There are also various hypermarkets here for all your shopping needs.

Foz do Arelho and its golden beaches are only a fifteen minute drive. Here you'll find many restaurants and bars for refreshments while enjoying your stay at the beach.

There are also many hypermarkets in the area to stock up on daily provisions.

If your interest is in golf, there are many fabulous courses within 30 minutes drive including the internationally acclaimed 5 star Praia del Rey resort, Bom Successo, Golden Eagle and the newly opened Royal Obidos. There are also many wonderful golden beaches at Peniche and various well known surfing spots in that area too, amongst them the very well known "Supertubos".

Lisbon airport is only a 50 minute drive.

If mid-vacation cleaning services are required, this can be arranged at an additional cost of GBP£50.00 /- per visit. The cost of heating during winter visits or any other cold spells at other times of year, is charged GBP£20.00/- per day. Swim towels extra GBP£2.00 per towel per week. Please check at the time of booking.
