The Two Lunes is a delightful farmhouse recently renovated and divided into 2 pleasant country houses, both tastefully furnished and equipped with all modern comforts. The two villas "Blue Moon" and "Luna Rosa" are rented together (not separately).

Each house has an outdoor area where you can savor at leisure the seductive delights of eating al fresco! Available to the guests is the lovely swimming pool with jacuzzi created just in front of the wonderful view to enjoy relaxing time immersed in the nature.

Set in a privileged position on the Magra Valley surrounded by Fruit trees and flowers, in a secluded, quiet sunny position in the green, the farmhouse affords superb views, Which Both embrace the Apuan Alps inland and the shimmering waters of the river Magra. This venue forms an ideal base for exploring the Cinque Terre fishing villages and nature reserve, as well as for Accessing the local beaches.

For seaside and sun lovers, for families and groups of friends, Le Due Lune is the ideal base to visit Tuscany and part of Liguria and discover the excellent local food. Not to mention That You can reach the seaside in 30 minutes by car, both the wild beaches in the Cinque Terre and the blackberries elegant ones of Versilia.

Disappointing

The property was in a beautiful area and had a lovely pool. The owners were welcoming when we arrived.

However we were very disappointed with:

*The wifi - Ltd to 1 g. It also had a very poor signal and didn't work for much of the time.

*The pool furniture was grubby and worn. The parasols were not secured and kept flying off, sometimes on top of us.

*The houses were very small and dark and had very limited space to eat/socialise or for clothes storage.

*We had to move the pool furniture to outside the house each night to have somewhere to sit to eat and socialise as only 1 small bench was provided for each house.

*The water supply was erratic, sometimes going off mid shower fior a few mins.

*The grounds were functional rather than luxurious and badly lit. We had to use a torch to go from one house to another and as it was a very isolated situation it was not ideal.

*The owners turning up before 8 am on the day we left and cleaning the pool and the grounds whilst we were packing to go by 10 am. It was not a very relaxing end to our stay and our planned last dips in the pool were curtailed.

Overall it felt as though we had been camping with the attendant discomfort rather than having the comfortable home like facilities that we'd expected.

Below our comments : 1) INTERNET CONNECTION Broadband speeds above 10 Mbps are made available by just 18.4 percent of providers in Italy, compared to the EU average of 66 percent, the European Commission report said. Slow internet connections may well put Italians off getting online, as the EU reported that 34 percent have never used the internet. This is the fourth-highest figure in the EU and far greater than the European average of 20 percent. 2) GARDEN FURNITURE We always recommend sheltering the rain but the guests do not. In any case you can not expect the owners to change their furnishings every season. I want to remind you that you have booked a country house and not a luxury villa 3) SMALL SPACES No one has ever complained about the spaces in the house. Obviously it is a country house designed to live it outdoors and not at home. 4) BENCH Certainly if you invite other people the chairs provided may be missing. Both Houses have seats enough for a dinner of 10 chairs ( Max sleeps is 6 pax) I don't see the propblem. 5) WATER SUPPLY On June we had an exceptional water shortage. This is not due to our plant of course. 6) GARDEN LIGHTS The garden is not lit but between the house and the other are a few meters. Nobody ever complained about the light in the garden. 7) CHECK OUT I'm sorry to know that the owners came before 10am ... however I can not believe they bothered you. As far as your comment on "camping" this is definitely unacceptable and offensive since you have booked a property in exclusive with large garden, pool and jacuzi. Certainly this is not a Luxury villa but you have also to consider that the price you have paid was absolutely fair and honest. I am really disappointed about your comment

Stunning view and totally private

As soon as you arrive at Le Due Lune you are confronted with the most beautiful view of the mountains. The pool is beautiful and cleaned twice weekly by Matteo and mum Maria . They made us feel very welcome. We were told to help ourselves to the bounteous fruit trees on the grounds. It was delightful! There were two houses one with an extra room that doubled up as a bedroom for our two teenage girls. It was totally private. We felt very comfortable. Supermarkets were close by. We would definitely love to visit again in the future. Grazie Matteo Maria and Aldo for an unforgettable holiday. We hope to come and stay at Le Due Lune again.

The perfect Tuscan Villa

The home was great, very roomy, very isolated so no neighbors to annoy, and the surrounding area was as picturesque as a painting. We enjoyed the pool and the outdoor dining area every day. We suggest to explore the historical villages around and the typical tuscan country side wich is fabulous.

Rustic

Quiet location and beautiful scenery. Car essential, make it small as road narrow. Close to all amenities and interesting places to visit. House furnished to a high standard, large swimming pool. Friendly, attentive service received from owners.

The house it self was clean, comfortable and well-equipped, and being an old farmhouse was full of charm and character. The longest drive we undertook was to Florence (about an hour and half) and we also visited Pisa, Pontremoli and Cinque Terre, and there are many other interesting places to see in La Spezia and sorraundings.

The Lunigiana is an historical territory of Italy, today Which falls Within the provinces of La Spezia and Massa Carrara. Its borders derive from the ancient Roman settlement, later the medieval diocese of Luni, Which no longer exists.

Lunigiana, a mountainous region dissected by the Magra river, covers an area Which runs from the Apennines to the Mediterranean Sea, now Belongs in part to Tuscany and in part to Liguria. It takes its name from Luni, a Roman town, perhaps pre-dated by an Etruscan settlement, Which Became the principal urban center on the northern Tuscan coast. Some contend the name Luni That Refers to the moon, a celestial body Whose beauty is made all the blackberries attractive When framed by the white-peaked Apuan Alps and high Apennine mountains. Others maintain, though little or no evidence exists, That the region was populated by Those Who worshiped the moon.

As if to join history and myth, the symbol of contemporary Lunigiana is a crescent moon held in the claw of a bear. The earliest recorded Inhabitants of this region may sono stati the Apuan (Which is derived from the name of the Apuan mountain chain), an ancient Ligurian people, as well as Etruscans who may have inhabited towns along the coast and even the hamlets near in- land trade routes. Curiously, while evidence of Both Roman and later Medieval settlements are ample, the wondrously appealing stele, late pre-historic and Bronze Age stone statues Which sono stati found in large numbers in this part of Tuscany, remain the symbol of this ancient land. They are the first expression of the art and, perhaps, of the religious beliefs of the peoples That inhabited northern Tuscany from the Bronze Age to the start of the Roman Empire
