CAPTIVATING 180 DEGREE VIEWS OF THE OCEAN
The villa has an endless views of the ocean and is located on a hillside. The beach below is not suitable for swimming. See photo #3.
Villa Caribella boasts soaring ceilings, perfect views of the ocean, and welcoming interiors. The villa blends an organic mix of wood, stone, glass, water, and air into a West Indies style with a touch of tropical flair.
A seamless transition between inside and out, the spacious living area opens to the sea air. An eleven foot, built-in sofa facing the horizon invites hours of relaxation and entertainment.
Granite-topped counters accent the modern gourmet kitchen with everything you need to prepare meals that you can enjoy from the elevated dining area or from the adjoining terrace. The opulent master bedroom with luxury bathing area completes this main level.
Next to the kitchen, are two guest rooms, each with a private bathroom. Accessible by a separate entrance, the lower level comprises a private studio suite complete with kitchen, private bath, and an outdoor lounging area. A sprawling veranda, featuring additional outdoor living space. ALL BEDROOMS HAVE OCEAN VIEWS.
The villa has floors, bathrooms, and terraces of Italian marble. All rooms have ceiling fans that gently coax the constant sea breeze through the house. For added comfort, all bedrooms have independently-controlled air conditioning.
Surrounded by banana trees (pick your own when ripe!), coconut palms, bougainvilleas and oleanders, Villa Caribella welcomes you to live your dream and leave with a taste of the Caribbean.
The villa is custom designed and built and I am the original owner. I wanted it to have a true island feel, like it is part of the island and belongs there. The building lot was love at first sight and our view will always be there....and so will the sound of the ocean waves. Having both the French and Dutch culture is amazing and it is located on the Dutch side near the French border. St Maarten is 'the friendly island'.
The view, especially at sunrise is absolutely spectacular; it is fabulous. It is hard to decide weather to have coffee and breakfast by the pool, or take an early morning walk to Red Pond beach (great workout). The established neighborhood is quiet and very safe. It is a place to escape the real world, away from traffic, noise, neon signs and tourists, yet only minutes to restaurants, beaches and the marina.
This is my sixth time staying at Villa Caribella. I just love sitting on deck absorbing the sun, air and the fabulous views. I find it hard to motivate myself to go to the beach as I have everything I could want right here. It is quiet, homey and just so comfortable. When I do drag my self away I have to visit nearby Busbys for breakfast, Canoe for dinner and the great pizzas at Mama's pizza. Grand Case, Marigot and of course the ever fun Orient Beach are my favorites. Most people equate Orient Beach as a nude beach but that is only one small section way on the end and Orient is about a mile and a half long. The restaurants are so good and my favorite place to have lunch in the shade. They serve you right in your beach chair. What more could you want! When departure day comes it is always so tempting to change my flight to stay longer. Thanks Deborah for sharing you place with me! I will be back soon.
I recently stayed at Villa Caribella for a girls getaway and had an amazing time! The villa is gorgeous and is layed out perfectly. We each had our own private bedroom with full bath and a central open living area and gourmet kitchen where we could hang out together. There was also an absolutely amazing view of the ocean from every room in the house.
The house is situated on a hill so the view from the back deck and pool area is to die for! We were tempted to sit there all day enjoying the ocean breeze with a glass of wine.
We did venture out, however, and we found everything to be a short drive away. Very close by I would recommend Dhingy Dock Bar for great Happy Hour and Marina views. Mr. Busby's for an awesome breakfast right on the beach and Big Fish for an amazing seafood dinner. A little further on the French side the shopping in Marigot is not to be missed.
I will definitely stay here again on my next trip to the island!
This was my first time in St. Maarten and Deborah's villa was perfect! The breeze and beautiful view of St. Barth's are spectacular. The kitchen has everything you need and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The showers are wonderful and the stone tile throughout the house is beautiful. The quiet, gated community with its friendly guards made us all feel very safe. You are a close drive to wherever you want to go in St. Maarten. My group was able to tour the entire island. One of my favorite beach days was spent at Bay Rouge. Deborah and her helpful staff were there to help whenever we needed anything or had questions. Paulette, her housekeeper is extremely nice and a joy to talk to.
I highly recommend choosing this Caribbean Palace for your St. Maarten adventure!
This villa is my go-to place when I visit St. Maarten. I love sitting by the pool with my wine and friends. It is so relaxing. It is hard to describe the feeling listening to the ocean and enjoying the awesome view. Just returned from 2 weeks with a girls group and we had such a good time. The villa has incredible lounge chairs by the pool right off the kitchen so refreshing that drink or grabbing a snack is effortless. Every bedroom has its own bathroom so it is more like having 4 master bedrooms. So hopping in that shower to head out for all the sites is a breeze. Baie Rouge was our favorite beach. Since it is on the other side of the island we had a great breakfast at Zee Best and spent the entire day at the beach, complete with lunch and happy hour and headed back to the villa. One of the girls loves to cook so we created a gourmet dinner with tuna steaks. The kitchen has everything. Not to overdo it we had many meals at some of the local restaurants. Qui Oust is tucked in a quiet place at the marina down the hill. Nadia fixed us another great meal. Another favorite was taking a morning hike down to Busbys for breakfast and a quick swim in the ocean while our eggs cooked. Loved it. Can't wait to go back! The girls are already planning a return trip in November. We like the off season because there are no crowds and no traffic. Perfect time to go.
What a beautiful well kept villa! Very clean and tastefully decorated, and it really had everything you would need, in your home away from home! It was hard to decide if we should explore the island or stay and enjoy the magnificent view by the pool! We did manage do to a little of both! Everything was as promised and Deborah is wonderful to work with, She was always quick to respond from the beginning of the rental process to the end. The area is very nice so much beauty just driving around Oyster Pond. We loved feeding Iguanas at the bottom of the hill by the Westin, they live near a little pond there. The restaurants were all wonderful in that area with our favorite being Busby's by day & Daniels By the Sea in the evening. This is the same place but they change into a fantastic Italian restaurant in the evening. The view is gorgeous by day and evening and they have a wonderful breakfast! Mama's Pizza was a fun place to dine as well & Dinghy Dock! We watched the Cleveland Cavs win the 2016 NBA title at the Dinghy Dock, so if you want to watch a favorite sporting event that is the place! They have a make your own drink special and you really do make your own! We did visit Isle of Pinel and Anguilla, both were fantastic and we would recommend both! So much to do.. We wished we had more time. All of the beaches are wonderful but our favorites were Cupecoy and Nettle Bay. Mullet Bay is wonderful calm water to swim in as well. You have to take an afternoon to have drinks and lunch at the Sunset Bar and watch the planes come in at Maho Beach! If you are wondering where to stay, do not hesitate to stay at Villa Caribella! Everything was as promised and more and the Island of St. Maarten is fantastic! I will say the French side was incredible, St Martin!! Check out Rancho Del Sol, cozy, outdoor seating with a view and a wonderful menu & drinks! We loved our vacation and Villa Caribella!
What an amazing experience! We embarked on a ladies vacation and this place just made it feel like paradise! I loved how the doors opened to the outside and you felt like there was no distinction between inside and out. We spent a great deal of time on the back patio, deck and by the pool. Pure relaxation. The views seemed unreal. There were some great spots to dine within a close distance which made for a nice quick drive to eat some amazing food. The variety of beaches to choose from were endless and I don't even think we were able to get to half that we wanted to see. The house was clean and had all the comforts of home and then some. I can't wait to take another trip back!
We had such a great experience here, that I'm not spoiled for life. I went with a handful of girlfriends for a week long getaway and this place could not have been more perfect. I love how open the house is, and how you can just leave the doors wide open and have the deck and pool area become an extension of the house. The beds and linens are all very comfortable and CLEAN (which is always a worry of mine), and the rooms also had air conditioning so if it got too hot at night, you could run them (although I preferred to sleep with windows open ). Loved the big eat-in kitchen too- was great for staying in a couple nights and cooking. Although there are SO many great beaches with amazing food all across the island, we really didnt need to cook. Theres a little pizza place just 5 min drive from the house and it's probably the best pizza I've ever had. Another place we loved was Baie Rouge- small beach with a delicious food shack serving awesome chicken and the best happy hour specials. The only trouble we had during our stay was getting the internet to work, but a quick call to Debi (the homeowner) and it was all figured out.
I've been to this island a handful of times and Villa Caribella has so far been my favorite place to stay. I'll be back for sure !
