Would you like to stay in a fully-renovated 17th century house in a quiet street in the Museum district of Amsterdam? Then this house for is perfect for you! Our fully furnished house sleeps up to 9 people in 6 bedrooms with three bathrooms, a separate kitchen/dining room area as well as a living room.
The 220 m2 (720 feet sq) house has a large basement, and three additional floors with a bathroom and two bedrooms on each floor.The entire house was completely renovated and redecorated in 2014 with new bathrooms and fixtures.
You access the house via the front door on first floor where you will find the fully equipped kitchen and dining area. A large table comfortably seats 8 people. There is a separate toilet in the hall of this floor.
From the first floor you go down to the basement where you find the living room/lounge area with ample light flowing in from the skylights. It is very spacious and bright with sufficient room for everyone to relax comfortably on the couch after a long day of walking around in Amsterdam. On this floor you’ll also find a bedroom with 2 single beds, a bathroom and a separate toilet.
On the second floor there are two bedrooms with two single beds each and a bathroom with a toilet. A 3th bedroom is a smaller room with one single bed.
The rooms are very bright and there are closets in each room to hang up your clothes.
The third floor, the loft, consists of two bedrooms each with a single bed and a bathroom with toilet.
The house is an historical landmark that dates back to 1699. It has a traditional brick façade with an ornamental roof. The house is on a charming street which is closed for motorized vehicles from 7 pm to 7 am so the only traffic is pedestrians.
The house is a mere three minute walk from the Museum square where you’ll find the world famous Rijks Museum displaying the old Dutch master painters, the Van Gogh Museum and the Modern Art museum. Around the corner there is also the Leidse Plein, famous for its outdoor cafes, restaurants and night life. The historical architecture in this part of town is amazing and the canals and places of interest are within walking distance.
A short stroll down the street will lead you to side walk restaurants and cafes with outdoor seating, restaurants, bars and night life. The canals are immediately around the corner. There is ample public transportation (trams, canal taxis, buses) and you can rent bikes from a rental shop in the street the house is on.
