About the property

Detached, Private, Mountaintop Villa With Two Bedrooms, Pool, And Stunning Views

This luxury villa is set in a quiet urbanisation on a mountaintop overlooking the Mediterranean. The 180 degree views from the front of the villa are quite stunning - all the rooms benefit from this. To the rear is an enclosed private 9x5m swimming pool where one can relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. All rooms have hot/cold air conditioning making the property suitable for year round rental. The villa layout ideally suits two couples rather than children. One bedroom is located down three steps from the lounge, the other is accessed from an external staircase. Quirky but interesting. The lounge, diner and kitchen are open plan. The villa has been refitted with quality furnishings and is fully equipped to make your stay a real pleasure in an unusual and relaxing environment. All rooms have hot/cold air conditioning.

Please note: due to the quiet location, external staircase to the double bed bedroom and unfenced pool area this is not suitable for young children.

About Michael Murrell

Hello, my name is Michael and I am the proud owner of the casita that you have just looked at. I also live next door. I moved to Spain 7 years ago initially on a 'try it and see' basis. My plans changed and instead of moving to Javea I was offered a property inland. My initial disappointment changed the moment I arrived. The countryside and the people are fantastic. Here I can live in the real Spain without all the tourists! If I want that, a quick drive takes me to the bustle of the coastal towns. So my move to this property was based on the pleasure of living in the peace and quiet, but all the other options available to me within a few minutes drive.

So whilst I am here to welcome you , I am on hand for any help or information you may need (while being aware of your need for privacy)

Michael Murrell purchased this villa in 2011

Why Michael Murrell chose La Marina Alta

The North Costa Blanca (Marina Alta) provides the very best environment for healthy living and natural beauty. The joy of seeing the stars at night as there is no air pollution to hide them! The mountainous landscape with rich green valleys. The heady scent of orange blossom. The Med and its sandy beaches. The quaint little Spanish villages. The food, the wine and the people................. OK I could go on, but this really is one of the most beautiful parts of the world and my decision to move here was very easy. Living on top of a mountain enables one to enjoy the breathtaking vista of the sea, mountains, valley, orange groves and the little villages clinging to the foothills. With the changing light the view never ceases to change. It provides a real 'get away from it all' feel.

What makes this villa unique

It's an interesting mix of peace and quiet, but without being isolated. Take in the views and decide which part of this beautiful area to go and see more of. This villa feels different from many others because it's the right size for a holiday home - space and comforts, but no unnecessary wasted space. The private enclosed 9x5m pool is, of course, a real pleasure. But should you feel the need for a bigger pool the Pool Bar just down the road is freely available, or it's just a 15 minute drive to the sea. The Pool Bar also provides snacks and evening meals as well as a tennis court!

With the unspoiled countryside and mountain ranges this part of the world is perfect for walkers or cyclists. There are organised trips available or one can make own arrangements.

The photo's don't do this villa justice. Fantastic in every sense

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful week in August at Michael's lovely Casita. The villa is spotlessly clean and superbly furnished and kitted out with plenty of everything you need including inflatables for the pool. The elevated view is stunning and with the amazingly clean air, you can see for miles.

Michael was a fantastic host living next door, always discreet but on hand when asked to offer suggestions for some great places to eat, hidden away in the hill villages.

The beach was maybe 15 minutes easy drive with plenty of places to park safely very close to the sand and sea.

If you are looking for a quiet retreat but within easy distance to more lively Denia, then you will struggle to beat this place.

Highly recommended. Thanks Michael and well done on creating a little gem

Peaceful escape

  • 5 of 5

I spent a short 4 day break here in March. I was travelling alone and had been attracted to the property by all the photographs and reviews. I wanted peace, quiet, a little warmth and a place to feel safe and relaxed. I found all of the above. I only left the property to visit the supermarket, a 10 minute drive away. The views are beautiful, and I spend many hours just gazing at the world from afar while sipping some of the fine local wine. If I wasn't enjoying the views out the front I was nestled in the perfectly comfortable 'swinging chair' listening to the trickle of the water in the pool and being rocked gently into a comfortable sleep! Michael the owner was very charming, friendly, welcoming and great company to chat to when I had had enough of talking to myself. Layla, his canine companion is a delight, and also took great delight in my plastic bottles. I came home feeling greatly refreshed, having found a wonderful place and what I hope are two lovely new friends. Thank you both so much for looking after me and making me feel so welcome. I really look forward t when I can return.

Double paradise!

  • 5 of 5

This very pleasant holiday rental offers a double-faceted advantage: on the north side is a panoramic view of the Girona valley and the sea, while to the south is the elegant, sheltered pool area with its illuminated statues and plantings. Inside you'll find uncluttered comfort with a well-equipped kitchen, comfy sofas, and British TV channels. There are three heating units to keep warm in winter. The owner is very helpful and available--he even provides renters with delicious citrus fruits fresh from his own orchard! The quiet, upscale neighborhood offers pleasant strolls past spacious landscaping and pine forests, and mountain trails take off where the road ends. Several picturesque, unspoiled villages are only a few minutes' drive away, as are the motorway, the shopping mall, and several restaurants. Even the beach is less than half an hour away by car. I really enjoyed my two-week stay here and look forward to returning!

Christmas in Benidoleig 🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄

  • 5 of 5

The perfect place to stay for a relaxing winter break and a good base to explore ( by car ) the surrounding area on the Costa blanca. The resorts of Javea and Moraira are definitely worth a visit. The villa exceeded our expectations, modern, well maintained with stunning views. We were made to feel very welcome at the local bar / restaurant where we joined the locals on Christmas Day for lunch - delicious food and wine. Altogether, highly recommended.

The one thing that I need to stress (as many enquirers miss this) is to take note of my comments that I have made about suitability for children. Basically it is completely inappropriate for very young children. For older children I am happy to discuss further.
