Comfortable and charming studio/efficiency cottage for two available spring through fall. Convenient to National Seashore's ocean beaches, bay beaches, and freshwater ponds. Easy access to bike and hiking trails, historic sites, shopping, and restaurants to suit any palate. While there's plenty to do and see in Eastham, it's just a short drive to Wellfleet, Orleans, and Chatham for theatre, movies, and more interesting shops and restaurants. Take in band concerts and Cape Cod baseball, too.
The cottage has a warm, knotty pine interior with queen bed, kitchenette, dining area and bath with shower. The kitchenette is equipped with dishes, pots and pans, lobster pot, two burner stove, microwave, coffee maker, toaster and a compact refrigerator. Outside amenities include lounging chairs, hammock, picnic table, charcoal grill, and an enclosed outdoor shower. The cottage is air conditioned and heated and there's a flat panel TV with an abundance of cable channels. Wi-fi, too.
Eastham, MA is very close to the National Seashore and has ocean, bay and pond beaches. This cottage offers easy access to the bike path which traverses Cape Cod and is also very close to many fine restaurants and shopping areas. There is a large flea market in nearby Wellfleet every weekend and also many fine Arts and Crafts shows. You can have a vacation filled with activity or a very restful relaxing and peaceful get-away.
This charming cottage provided exactly what we were looking for and captures the feel of Cape Cod perfectly! It is ideally located for easy access to everything on the Cape, clean, well-kept and a quiet location. It had everything we needed and appreciated that bed linens/towels were provided for a small fee. Highly recommend and would stay here again! Glyn is great to work with and the attention to detail was appreciated.
Exactly as pictured and described. Charming, sweet cottage for two. Centrally located with easy access to beaches, restaurnats and attractions. Lovely, quiet and clean cottage community. The owner bent over backwards to make our stay pleasant and comfortable. This was our first visit, and we look forward to staying here again and again.
This cottage has it all - value, charm, location and amenities. Its exactly what we were looking for on our visit to Cape Cod. For a small place it really delivers. The bed was very comfortable and the cable and WiFi worked well, and the kitchen was sufficiently stocked. We also enjoyed being able to use both the indoor and outdoor shower at the same time. There are so many restaurants nearby we had trouble deciding. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place.
We stayed here for just under a week this August. Glyn was very accommodating, as we needed to arrive on a Sunday rather than a Saturday. The cottage is located right off of a main road, but it's set in a little community of other cottages that's very peaceful. We stayed in the Honeymooner (Cottage #6), which matched the description perfectly. There are lots of cute decorations, but the decor isn't overwhelming. Everything was very clean, and there were lots of hooks everywhere to hang clothing, hats, bags, etc. We loved reading on the hammock, and the outdoor shower was refreshing (there's an indoor shower, too - you can run both at the same time with plenty of hot water). There's also a picnic table, chairs, and a small charcoal grill for cooking. We almost didn't want to leave the cottage some days, as we were having an excellent time lounging around and reading.
This cottage is right over the Eastham line and is very close to shopping/restaurants in Orleans. It's also not far from the Wellfleet Drive-In/Flea Market (and a delicious restaurant called Karoo). Of course, it's also near the beaches: First Encounter, Coast Guard Beach, and Nauset Beach. We parked at the Salt Pond Visitor's Center and biked out to Coast Guard Beach; a more enthusiastic cyclist could certainly pick up the rail trail at the cottage and ride the whole way.
The only downside was that the sink water tasted pretty metallic. We were fine with using bottled water for drinking, but just thought that tip might be helpful.
Overall, a wonderful stay at an excellent price! We would highly recommend staying at this property.
My boyfriend and I spent a long weekend holed up in this cozy little studio cottage. The property was clean and well maintained. It had everything we needed for the 3 day stay (except an oven, but we made out fine without it)! With a big warm bed, quiet surroundings, and cable television, it's a great place to unwind even in bad weather. It was definitely the smallest place I've ever rented, but perfect for a couple trying to get away. Eastham is a great destination as it is close to Orleans, Wellfleet and plenty of beaches. It was great for Columbus Day weekend :). Very pleasant stay. Thank you Glyn and Nancy!
The cottage was clean, comfortable, and well located. Flashlights, dishes, a vacation guidebook, and reading material were all thoughtfully provided. The owners were very friendly and helpful when emailed. Would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a delightful, hassle-free stay in Cape Cod. Very, very happy with this booking!
