It is a 100 m2 apartment with a great historic value, catalogued by the UNESCO as Artistic Heritage of the XVth century Catalan Gothic style and where the famous writer Miguel de Cervantes lived for some time during his stay in the city.
It was completely reformed and has been turned into a luminous duplex conserving the old stone walls and arches giving the space a special charm.
On the main floor there is a double room with private toilette with shower, a bathroom with bathtub, a full equipped kitchen (electric kettle, oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine) and a dinning - living room. It is also provided with a semi independent space next to the living-room separated by the arch and thick curtains where an extra guest can sleep in a comfortable sofa-bed. On the upper level there is the the main double-bedroom.

This apartment is located in a 16th century historic building in the Gothic Quarter. It has been tastefully updated and is very comfortable. We loved the location, the Gothic Quarter very atmospheric and also convenient to places to visit and metro stops.
The apartment double pained windows so the nearby busy street is not an issue. It also has elevator access, air con, modern kitchen, good wi-fi and washer and dryer.
We were met at arrival and the details of the apartment were well explained.
We had a very positive experience and would highly recommend this apartment.
My husband and I stayed in the apartment for one month during summer 2016. It is spacious, comfortable, and architecturally beautiful. It is on a main boulevard near the water with a view of Barcolonetta out the front window/balcony. To the left is Born, and behind the apartment is the Gothic Quarter. It's about a 8-10 minute walk to La Rambla and the Line 3 Metro (Drassanes). There is another metro stop in Barcelonetta about the same distance from the apartment. The apartment has an alley on one side, and at night the downstairs bedroom gets a lot of street/alley noise. We slept primarily in the loft bedroom which was much quieter. The beds are firm and comfortable.
The apartment is above a restaurant in a row of restaurants, and within walking distance of many great cafes, bars, convenience stores, etc. Although there is an elevator in the building, the apartment is on the first floor above the ground floor, and the stairs lead to a hallway with two apartments. We saw people once leaving other apartment, and we didn't hear people coming or going. It is not an apartment building where locals live; it appears to be more of a second apartment type building where some people rent out to tourists. Rarely did we run into people coming or going at the building door (on the alley), but the alley gets fairly regular foot traffic. We felt very secure here.
We cooked in the apartment, did laundry, worked remotely (great internet service), and for the most part recreated our lives in a great new setting. We did not have much interaction with the hosts (Rebeca and her brother Alex), but they were very nice and accommodating. It was definitely a great apartment for us -- bigger than we actually needed.
I recommend the apartment!
My husband and I and two teenage girls spent 3 nights while in Barcelona and loved this apartment. It is so close to everything. The beach is only minutes away with great trails for a morning run. Great cafes, small supermarkets and restaurants are right ouside the door in the Gothic neighborhood. The apartment is very comfortable and has everything you need. It is on a busy street with some foot traffic, but we were not bothered by the noise. Check in and communication with Rebeca was great. Hope to be back be one day.
Appartement idéalement situé. Beaucoup de charme. Un peu bruyant. Nous y reviendrons.
The impressive apartment with views over the old harbour is decorated fantasticly and is equipped very well.
We loved it living in the heart of Barrio Gothico and being in walking distance to cultural attractions as well as to beaches.
The apartment is very spacious and luxurious and we enjoyed our stay so much.
Rebeca is very helpful and managed everything perfectly.
The apartment is in Pso.Colon, right in front of the Maritime Port and very close to the Beach.
It is located at the feet of Ciutat Vella, at the beginning of the Barceloneta and one block away from the Born district, in the convergence of 3 of the most special neighborhoods in the city.
Behind the apartment within the charming narrow streets of Ciutat Vella you will find plenty of bars, restaurants and small grocery stores. You can walk up to the city’s Cathedral or across towards the Ramblas, one of the main Landmarks of the city, it’s just a 10 minute walk.
To the other side of Via Laietana you can get lost into the Born distric which has a great historic value and atmosphere. You can visit the Born Market, the well known Santa María church or go shopping, as the area has some of the most fashionable and latest design shops.
Walking towards the sea along Paseo de Borbon where you can take a look at the boats you will come across the Barceloneta neighborhood with the most popular beach in the city full of live due to its restaurants, beach bars, shops and the sea walk where you can bike, skate or just take a walk.
Other close landmarks are the Ciutadella Park, a big and nice green area, or the Maremagnum with it’s singular shopping mall over the sea, the Barcelona Aquarium and the 3D Imax cinema.
