The huge advantage of Number 36 is the accessibility to Skipton town centre on foot. Just a 5 minute stroll takes you to the award winning High Street where you can enjoy all the delights of this lovely market town. There's something extremely satisfying about rounding off a morning or evening stroll through Skipton Woods or along the canal with a hearty meal at one of the many restaurants and pubs in the town centre, catering for all tastes and budgets.
But why not hire a bike and venture further afield? A wide choice of mountain or road bikes are available for hire, just a 5 minute walk from Number 36. Fill your day with a leisurely jaunt along the canal to the pretty villages of Gargrave or Bradley, or lose yourself on the meandering country lanes or bridleways around Malham and Bolton Abbey.
As the jewel in the crown of this beautiful region, Skipton is the perfect location from which to explore.
North Yorkshire is of course a walkers paradise, where you can stroll through the lush green fields of Wharfedale, or a hill walk directly from Number 36 with spectacular views of Skipton's stunning countryside.
But this is also 3 Peaks country where you can attempt one of the most challenging hikes in the UK, twenty five miles over 3 mountains, Penyghent, Whernside & Ingleborough.
Regardless, you can return to Number 36, freshen up in the shower then relax back at base, before dining at one of Skipton's numerous award winning restaurants and pubs, or just eat in making use of the well equipped kitchen.
Afterwards you can sit and chat at the table or spread out on the sofa; maybe catch up with your favourite TV programs, (Smart TV), watch a DVD or play a game in our lovely bay windowed lounge.
