We have just re-visited Buffalo Creek Guest Cottage for the second time and had another fantastic holiday there for 2 weeks. We enjoyed the cabin so much last year that we persuaded my parents to join us and they stayed in the owners other cabin, Bridge Cottage. They thoroughly enjoyed it too.
Beau is the most amazing host - extremely accommodating, thoughtful and generous. We also had some really fun evenings, watching the sun set over the Smoky Mountains. You never tire of the views.
This year we brought our mountain bikes with us so we went on several long rides on nearby trails.
Lulu's Restaurant in Sylva was recommended to us this year and we had a really nice lunch. The catfish was delicious.
This cottage had a very beautiful view. It had lots of charm and very cozy. Unfortunately the stairs into front door where very steep and presented
a hardship due to my husband's recent stroke. Beau was kind enough to allow us to cut thru his porch area to avoid the stairs. Beau also arranged to have someone else carry our luggage. Beau is a very gracious host... very much a gentleman. Thanks for memories!
Nice cabin which provided both privacy and convienience with spectacular views as an added bonus. We enjoyed relaxing at The Pointe and on the deck in the evenings and mornings. Will definitely consider coming back to Bryson City to enjoy the activities we missed out on due to time constraints. Hopefully one of your cabins will be available! Thanks for a pleasant getaway experience!
We really loved staying in the "Cottage on the Hill" (m name) when we were lucky enough to spend two days in the Smokies on our way to a beach vacation in Florida! It is such a warm, comfortable place to rest your head after a hot, busy day hiking in the Deep Creek area of the Great Smoky Mnts.. It's location is spectacular! I am not at all familiar with this area, and was concerned that I would lose valuable time trying to find places to enjoy in the mountains. Thankfully, my concern was unfounded. Bryson City is just down the hill and by following signs we found loads of fun in the park! Bryson City is fantastic! We loved staying here!
This place was absolutely perfect for my wife and I. We stayed here mainly to enjoy the National Park which was not far from the cabin at all. You knew going up the steep, winding, but paved driveway that a gem awaited you at the top. The cabin was very clean, private, and was a perfect place to rest before getting up and exploring the area all over again. Beau does a great job at maintaining his property, and the nearby town of Bryson City has everything you need. I took beautiful photos right from the deck of the mountains! Gatlinburg is too crowded and touristy for me, so this was a nice place to stay to not feel like you were in all of that, but could still investigate for a day if you did find yourself on the North side of the park. We simply couldn't have asked for a better place, price, and vacation to the Smoky Mountains. We will happily seek this property again when we get the chance to get back to the mountains.
