Lovely little barn
We stayed in the barn for two nights and it was lovely. Little pickle at the beginning of our journey when we had not been given the code for the key, no service and pouring down with rain, once we were in it was lovely and warm and cosy. Shame there is no freezer glad we were only staying for a weekend. Would have been lovely to be able to have a outdoor BBQ definitely room to build one and think it would perfect for those sunny days. There is so much land but nothing is secluded which we did struggle with for the dogs, they loved a run around but we were on pins as no fence stopping them running in to traffic - luckily enough our dogs have a good recall. The beds were extremely comfy and all clean bedding and towels which was great. Probably wouldn't stay again but that's purely just to do with the lack of fencing for the dogs but definitely enjoyed!
Good accommodation on the Offa's Dyke Path
Nicely converted building in the middle of a field. Good access. Offa's Dyke Path runs right past which was very handy for us.
Only minor criticisms would be lack of small kitchen knife and the fact that the immediate vicinity of the building had a few bits of unsightly building debris left around e.g. blue water pipe.
Great base for Brecon
Our family of four stayed here for a week and had a fantastic time. The cottage is located about four miles outside of Abergavenny and is easily reached by car. Fantastic location for quickly reaching most of the Brecon Beacons. The cottage itself is nicely decorated with really comfortable beds, TV, bath and shower. It's in the middle of three massive fields as well - lots of opportunities for kids to play outdoors. The only thing we thought it lacked was a freezer. But, for an outdoors holiday in south Wales, this cottage was great. Really nice to come 'home' to each evening.
Amazing little place
As we approached the property we thought what on earth is this place in the middle of a field but what a lovely surprise when we got inside. It is extremely deceiving from the outside as there is an amazing amount of space inside. The bedrooms have plenty of storage space in them, the kitchen has everything needed and the living room with the corner suite is excellent. And to cap it all the peace and quiet is very welcome set back from the main road as it is so overall we would very definitely recommend this place for a break.
Fantastic holiday in a beautiful property
We have just concluded a wonderful holiday in this property. Everything we needed was provided, the cottage was spotlessly clean and the decor was good. The property is quiet, and was easy to find. Wifi was reliable, certainly good enough to make internet phone calls and log into Netflix! We loved it here and will be returning.
The barn is finished to a very high standard, and has everything you need, including excellent wifi. The location is perfect, 100 yards from the road, which is a quiet road anyway. You are surrounded by meadows so it really is a very peaceful environment; all you can hear is birdsong. You are surrounded by country walks. The landlady was very helpful and lent me a landline to make some vital calls, as the EE mobile signal is poor, which I thought was exceptionally helpful of her, and has meant that my sojourn has been a lot less stressful. What more can I say? You are 5 miles from Abergavenny, so you are not isolated, but it is a great place. It's the kind of place that if you lived here, you would be perennially looking out over the fields waiting for the fateful day the developers moved in. So that's it - if you want to use your mobile, Whats App may be the best bet. Oh, I think it is also exceptional value too.
