The newly converted barn is set in over 6 acres of land in the peaceful village of Llanvetherine only 10 minutes drive from the market town of Abergavenny. The barn is near the Offas Dyke path and around 5 minutes drive from the base of the Skirrid Mountain, it is an ideal location for those that love to walk.
The barn is heated with underfloor heating and an additional electric fire is situated in the living room. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, with microwave, fridge and a dishwasher. The living room has a large three cornered sofa and wide screen television which is linked to Freesat.
There are two bedrooms, one double and one twin and the bathroom has a bath with an electric shower over the bath.
Comfortable, clean and warm. Great barn conversion in beautiful countryside. Lovely walks straight out of the property as well as further afield. White Castle a must. Also Skirrid Fawr.
We stayed here for a month while we were waiting to move into our new house. The property is newly converted: the photos do not do it justice!! It was clean and well-presented and fully equipped. It is ideally located between two of our very favourite restaurants (1861 and The Walnut Tree). The house is set back from the road and very quiet - we picked bowls and bowls of blackberries from the hedgerows around us. There is a very sunny terrace, and the views are stunning. Its also within easy reach of Abergavenny. The Wi-Fi works a treat (the code is in the back of the router) and the boiler was not noisy for us. Mobile signal is a challenge - you are in rolling countryside after all, but you can get it by going for a walk to the top of the hill. I have nothing negative to say about this place. We loved it.
We were in Abergavenny to compete in the National Eisteddfod of Wales ( our singing party won 1st. prize!) and so, the barn conversion was very well situated for us, only a few miles out of town and also quiet and restful. The directions on how to get there were very clear and the interior design was surprisingly roomy, contemporary and tasteful with every convenience. The boiler was quite noisy, creating a knocking sound in the living-room ceiling, so we switched it off except for early morning and at-home evenings. Maybe directions concerning this would be helpful for guests. On the whole though, it was a very pleasant, restful stay in beautiful countryside.
Beautiful surrounding, lovely and peaceful, couldn't fault the place minus the extremely noisy boiler.
The cottage is comfortable, very clean and very quiet with lots of gorgeous bird song, For walkers it is ideally placed almost on the Offa's Dyke path and with easy access to other lovely walks. The directions were accurate and easy to follow.
Very nicely converted property. Spotless.Warm [we stayed on a cold March weekend] and comfortable/Well quipped in most ways - but a few odd extras would help [coffee table, more mugs and glasses, corkscrew, etc] - and wi-fi!
