Comfortably furnished, this delightful family home enjoys a large lawned garden with an additional enclosed courtyard area, and raised sitting-out area. Located opposite the owner’s working farm, with views to one side over fields and cattle. Froxfield is a charming village with a recreation field, historic church and village shop. There are many good pubs in the vicinity, one of which attracts visitors far and wide, and holds beer festivals throughout the year. An excellent area for walking, as it is part of the South Downs National Park and within The Meon Valley, and Ashford Hangers Nature Reserve is nearby.Local villages include West Meon, with its famous old inn, Jane Austen’s former house at Chawton, and The Gilbert White museum at Selborne. Other attractions within easy driving distance include the Queen Elizabeth Country Park and Portsmouth with Nelsons Victory, The Mary Rose, waterside dining, extensive designer shopping and ferry trips to the Isle of Wight. Also worth a visit is Winchester Cathedral, Southampton with its extensive maritime history, the vast heathland walks in The New Forest, historic Chichester with cathedral and festival theatre, beaches at the Witterings or Hayling Island, the Watercress Steam Railway, Alice Holt Country Park, Birdworld, Marwell Zoo and Peppa Pig World. London is about an hour by train from nearby Petersfield. Beach 15 miles. Shop 1/2 mile, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
