Clean, very well stocked both kitchen and linens. Great view, quiet location, wonderful hosts!
Our whole family enjoyed this apartment. It was lovely, and thoughtfully stocked with all the comforts of home. Montse is a generous, thoughtful host. Both children and adults loved the pool. The apartment was close enough to town to walk down, but a car is convenient if one finds hills difficult to walk, or anticipates multiple daily trips or grocery shopping. This was a fabulous way to enjoy lovely Baiona, we recommend it very highly.
A lovely apartment with wonderful views.
This apartment has everything you need, with a large terrace and wonderful views. The owner is lovely and very helpful, providing information on the local beaches, restaurants and places to visit. Only drawback was the climb back up the hill from the town, but without it you wouldn't have the wonderful views and sunsets.
Great Place to Stay
The apartment was very clean, well equipped and nicely decorated. The view from the terrace over the harbour and the islands was impressive. Montserrat who lives in the building was very nice and friendly. Upon our arrival we enquired about the location of the supermarket and she volunteered to drive us there so we could follow her and not get lost.
The terrace was very large and we had friends over for dinner and there was room at the table to seat eight. There is even a "healthy grill" so we were able to grill steaks and seafood outside during our stay.
We visited the ruins of the Celtic Village near A Guarda (must see) and also visited Valenca in Portugal and Tui (there is a great market on Thursdays). The walk around the fortress either on the wall itself or the path around the fortress is also a must do. In terms of food and nightlife avoid the tourist restaurants on the main road and go one block into the Old Town where there are many great bars and places to eat quality food at reasonable prices..
Bottom Line?? You will not be disappointed
Lovely apartment with fine views
Well appointed apartment with lovely views - Montse (the owner) was very welcoming and could not have been more helpful. For the less mobile, a car would be essential as it is a steep walk down to the old town - and a lung bursting walk back. Plenty of local stores within walking distance near the old town (bakers, green grocers etc) and a supermarket a short drive (5 minutes) away. Loved the area and the old town - the walk around the old fort provides magnificent views of the bay and coast. People are very friendly and even with our limited Spanish we got by - English is not widely spoken here but, for us, that is part of the charm. Hope to be back to Baiona - a part of Spain we had not visited before but we loved it here.
