A spacious, light, modern family and dog friendly, holiday bungalow with three bedrooms, nestled on the Pilgrims Way, in Bearsted, Kent, close to Maidstone.
Little House is hidden in the rolling Kent countryside along a quiet lane. You enter the cottage straight into the open plan lounge and kitchen. Contemporary furnishings mixed with shabby chic pieces give the property a quirky feel. From the lounge you have doors into the conservatory which is set up as a dining room, with a door leading to the kitchen and another leading to the enclosed garden. The kitchen is modern and well equipped. A hallway leads to a large, modern family bathroom, with walk in shower. Off the hallway are two bedrooms, one double and one twin. At the end of the hallway are steps leading up to a large games room, with full size table tennis. Back to the lounge and stairs lead up to the master suite. A large bedroom, with ensuite bathroom, views of the garden to the rear and the village church and a small desk area, should you need to work. The garden is enclosed and laid to lawn.
Little House is positioned along a quiet country lane along the Pilgrim's Way and is about 5 minutes by car from the village centre. The village of Bearsted sits at the foot of the North Downs and has its own railway station with connections to London. Maidstone is around three miles away and Rochester about twenty minutes by car. Leeds Castle is a short drive and is a beautiful way to spend a day, exploring the castle and grounds. Boat trips along the River Medway can be picked up in Maidstone and are particularly popular in July when the river festival takes place. Rochester with its connections to Charles Dickens has various festivals throughout the year, but most popular tend to be the ‘Sweeps Festival' in May and the ‘Dickensian Christmas Festival' in December. If wishing to explore Kent beaches, you have Whitstable known for its oysters and Margate known for ‘Dreamlands' theme park all about an hour away by car.
