My family and I stayed at this wonderful Eastham home in late June this year. The house was better than the pictures! The wrap around deck and the views amazing! We loved the bay beach just a few steps away.
We couldn't be happier with our vacation and the owner was extremely helpful. Can't wait to return next year!
Best cape house! Helene
We stayed at this incredible house for a week in August. We are a family of four with 2 kids and the house was everything we were looking for. It is immaculately kept and was spotless when we arrived. All amenities were provided. The short walk to the beach meant that we could come and go to and from the beach multiple times a day - essential for a family with small children. The bedrooms were comfortable and well appointed and the living area allowed for a perfect view of the bay at any time of day. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this rental and we hope to return next year. John was a pleasure to deal with and we are very grateful to him for sharing this beautiful home.
This was our second stay in this beach house and both visits have been incredible!! The house is very well maintained, the pictures don't do it justice. As soon as you walk upstairs to the main living/dining area, you can't help but be swept away by the unobstructed view of the bay. The space has been recently renovated and kept immaculately clean. The set-up is ideal for taking in all the beauty that the cape has to offer with large windows and a wrap-around deck right off the living room. Not only is the house a two minute walk to a semi-private beach and boating area, it is only about 1-2 miles away from the ocean side. So you get the best of both worlds. There are many wonderful little eateries nearby and about 10-15 minutes away is the town of Orelans where you can find any needed convenience (grocery/liquor stores, restaurants, mini-golf, etc.) Eastham has that quintessential Cape feel without being over the top, and its location allows you easy access to Wellfleet, Chatham, and Provincetown. The house is on a quiet residential road, has nice-sized yard, and an outdoor private shower. All in all, I would highly recommend a stay at this beach house and I can't wait to come back next year! Thanks to John and Maria for being so wonderful and allowing us to stay in this beautiful home!
What an awesome cottage with beautiful views. Next year, 2 weeks!!!
I just spent an amazing week at this beautiful beach house. The house was immaculate and well taken care of. From the moment we walked in the door, we were overjoyed. The living area, kitchen and deck upstairs were perfect to relax and watch the ocean and sunsets. The description and photos of the house are not nearly as wonderful as the live version. The outdoor shower was delightful.
The beach is so close and the small group of neighbors on this street are all very welcoming. There are wonderful fish markets and restaurants very close to the street, as well as ice cream, mini golf and an adorable flea market.
I spent many years visiting the cape and I am so excited to have found this little slice of paradise. John was very responsive and accommodating in all of our communications and made the rental process very easy. I can't wait to return next year.
We just spent a wonderful week at John and Maria's house and already have plans to return next summer. Let me preface this review by saying that my family and I are definitely not new to the cape. We have been renting on the cape for many years—in Brewster, Eastham, Orleans, Wellfleet, and Truro—and this was by far the most enjoyable place we have stayed.
The house is tucked away on a sandy road with a small general store just up the street. When we arrived at the house, the pictures online did not do it justice. Upon entering, my wife was struck by how immaculately clean it was. The appliances—washer, dryer, stove and fridge—were new. The living room and kitchen are upstairs, which at first I thought was strange. However, considering the majority of our time was spent on the deck or couch, we always had ocean views. There was nothing more relaxing and picturesque than being at a house and watching the sunset over the water.
Also, the house is really only 90 feet from the beach. This made it extremely convenient when I wanted to return to the house for food and refills on the margaritas. It was a private, quiet beach accessible only for few houses on the street. The kids really enjoyed when the tide was low which allowed them to play frisbee and go skimboarding in tidal pools. It's sad to think I will not be back for another year.
