Having undergone a complete renovation, Trelawn is now a stunning house in the centre of Porthleven which has been sympathetically modernised to combine luxurious furnishings and fittings with original features.

The off road parking space leads to a brand new beautifully designed and well equipped kitchen with oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer and table and four chairs. The bathroom, with WC, washbasin and bath with shower over, is accessed from the kitchen.

The lounge and dining room are partially separated with an archway with the original stained glass panelling above it.

The lounge has a high quality sofa and chairs, flat screen TV with Freeview, DVD player and CD/radio with iPod dock and access to the internet via Wi-Fi.

The dining room is furnished with a solid oak dining table and chairs.

The three bedrooms on the first floor – one double, one twin with zip and link beds to make a 6’ bed on request and one single, all have the original oak flooring and there is a balcony off the double bedroom overlooking the garden and with a view toward the sea.

Trelawn has full electric heating and all heating, electricity, bedding and towels are included.

The hallway leading to the back door has an original tiled mosaic floor – this leads to a large garden, which has sun for most of the day, with a grassed area and also a decked area at one side with seating.

One small pet is accepted.

Trelawn is situated in a central location just at the top of the village street and is only a few minutes walk from the harbour and beach.

Beautiful property in an ideal location.

The property is comfortably furnished & spotlessly clean. The lovely decking area in the garden is perfect for catching the sun; we went in October & still managed to have breakfast outside on the sunnier days.

It's a short walk to the harbour, all the various eating places & amenities Porthleven has to offer.

A nice touch was the cream tea & wine which had been left as a welcome - perfect!

Would definitely recommend a visit.

lovely cottage property

Lovely clean cottage which has been recently refurbished. Very comfortable with everything you would need for a week away with the kids. Lots of great places to eat + drink with some fantastic beaches nearby. Would certainly recommend

Im Hinblick auf die Straße sind Fahrzeugfahrer in unserem Dorf in der Regel respektvoll und der Verkehr ist nicht übertrieben. Gäste, die aus dem umzäunten Hof aussteigen, haben vor der Überfahrt von der Zufahrt aus Sicht. Porthleven lies within the Cornwall Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and exudes Cornish charm and tradition. Set in the middle of a huge sweeping bay, the beach at Porthleven is ideal for a relaxing family holiday.

The temperate climate in Porthleven and this area of Cornwall is partly due to warm waters of the Gulf Stream. There are consequently numerous palm trees in Porthleven. The relaxing atmosphere is enhanced by the white painted buildings, the light reflected from the sea, and the fresh air.

Porthleven has arguably the most impressive harbour in Cornwall, being constructed during Napoleonic times. Small fishing boats land their daily catch in Porthleven, much of which is sold in Porthleven cafes and restaurants and the award winning Quayside fishmongers.

With the increasingly popular Porthleven Food & Music Festival, this pretty fishing village has earned a place on Cornwall’s ever-growing foodie circuit. With big names such as Antony Worrall Thompson as patron of the festival and venues such as Rick Stein, Kota and its sister Kota Kai, recent TV star Amélie's and in addition to renowned pubs; The Atlantic, Harbour and Ship Inn, this seaside town is well worth investing some foodie time.

Around Porthleven harbour there are historic buildings, many constructed at the same time as the harbour around 200 years ago. Many fishermen's cottages and net lofts are located around the harbour area.

Porthleven beach is separated from the harbour by the granite pier which lies in front of the Porthleven Institute and famous clock tower often featured in TV weather reports during the winter storms.

Due to the strict conservation measures Porthleven in Cornwall remains an unspoilt, working harbour. Porthleven attracts visitors who want to get away from it all and be inspired by the surroundings and the way of life. Activities include local boat trips, fishing trips and kayaking, all from Porthleven harbour.

Porthleven has a good range of interesting shops and galleries. You will find friendly personal service in shops that are independently owned and run by local people. There is also a very well stocked supermarket with delicatessen and off licence, and chemist shop with pharmacy in Porthleven. Also, the historic market town of Helston is only 3 miles from Porthleven. In Helston there are many shops, supermarkets, banks and building societies and other services that you may require during your visit.

There is a regular bus service linking Porthleven, Helston, Penzance and Falmouth.

Walking the coast path from Porthleven harbour will quickly reveal spectacular views. Walking the coast path to the east takes you above the sandy beaches and onto Gunwalloe Church Cove Beach that provided the setting for the shipwreck scene on BBC's Poldark.

Walking the coast path out of Porthleven in a westerly direction takes you above rock coves and beside farmland. Disused mine workings and other memorials to past times in Cornwall can be found along the way.

There are many things to do all within easy reach of Porthleven including;

Loe Bar, Near Porthleven. A sandbank created by storms which cut off the Cober Valley from the sea. The bar was formed in the 12th century and until then merchant ships could sail up the estuary as far as Helston. Beside Loe Bar is Loe Pool, the largest freshwater lake in Cornwall. Here the distance between Loe Pool and the sea is about 200 yards. Loe Bar is two miles gentle walking from Porthleven, or no more than a mile if you drive to the car park.

Flambards Experience, Helston. Family day out with rides, activities and other experiences. Ideal for children of all ages. Only 3 miles from Porthleven.

Minack Theatre, Porthcurno. Don't miss the opportunity to attend a performance at this spectacular outdoor theatre during your stay. Approximately 20 miles from Porthleven.

Goonhilly Satellite Earth Station, Near Helston. Visit the world's oldest and largest satellite earth station. Lots to see and do. Approximately 10 miles from Porthleven.

Poldark Mine, Wendron, Near Helston. Have an underground tour of this historic tin mine. Approximately 8 miles from Porthleven.

St Michaels Mount, Marazion. Magical rocky island topped by church and castle. Discover its history and enjoy a cream tea in the grounds. Get a boat back if the tide has come in and covered the walkway. Approximately 8 miles from Porthleven.

Lizard Point. Spectacular views from the most southerly point in the UK. Approximately 8 miles from Porthleven.

Mullion Cove, The Lizard. An area of outstanding beauty. Approximately 8 miles from Porthleven.

Cadgwith, The Lizard. Attractive fishing harbour with thatch-roofed houses. Approximately 12 miles from Porthleven.
