'The Beach House' is in a superb location on the Northumberland coast overlooking the sea at Beadnell on Harbour Road - boasting the most amazing sea views. If you are coming to the Northumberland Coast this is where you want to be.

There is a shop 5 minutes walk away - and pub/restaurant 10 mins walk away.

The property has just finished a complete refurbishment programme (Jan 2016).

It has 3 bedrooms (sleeps 6 - 2 doubles and 1 twin ) and playroom. No pets I am afraid. There is a layout map on this site.

CHANGEOVERS: We let for full weeks during school holidays and peak season with Friday changeovers. We offer three night weekend and four night midweek short breaks off peak with change-overs on Mondays and Fridays.

On with the house...

The open plan living room and kitchen are on the 1st floor together with a double bedroom and bathroom. There are two further bedrooms on the ground floor (1 x double and 1 x twin ), a games room with tv and games console,or you can bring your own to plug in. There is also a shower room with basin and wc,and a utility room with back door.

The kitchen has granite work surface and centre island. Woodburning stove in the open living room with fantastic views out to sea.

It is decorated to a high standard throughout with 2 bathrooms (one with bath and hand shower and the other with a double shower unit). New carpets and decoration, you will be very comfortable.

Linen, towels, heating including in the rental. (logs for woodburner not provided)

There is a balcony off the kitchen - which is a real suntrap with outdoor dining table and seating.

There is a access to the patio garden behind with a masonry barbecue and bike racks to attach your bikes to.

The property is newly decorated and has the most amazing views over the north sea - one of the best locations in Beadnell for the sea views.

We have signed up to BT Infinity Wi-fi for the property but if for any reason out of our control it is not working during your stay we do not offer a discount I am afraid. We can of course suggest alternative ways of getting onto the net.

Beadnell Bay hosts some great sights and views, including rare Arctic Terns during the summer months, water sport activities including surfing and kite boarding are also available. Bikes available for hire locally and will be delivered to your door. Places of interest such as Bamburgh Castle (5 miles), the Farne Islands (2 miles) and the historic market town of Alnwick (12 miles) are all easy accessible by car or bus.

About Guy or Lucinda

My parents have had a family holiday house in Beadnell for over 50 years. We spent most of our summer holidays here every year, now I have two children aged 11 and 15 and we are doing the same. It is a beautiful part of the Northumberland Coast with safe sandy beaches. The kids love pier jumping at high tide. There are so many fantastic walks to great pubs in the area and more castles than you can ever visit. Oh this is the 'about you' section - never good at talking about myself... I am a events manager for a London company organising professional conferences for the planning world, which I love (working from home in Durham) and have worked for the same company for 20 years.

We have just become the owners or custodians as I like to think of it of 'The Beach House' this summer. You will love the views - they are just AMAZING looking directly out over the north sea - watching the tides come in and out.

It is decorated and furnished to a high standard and the location is excellent. Our changeover team are great and provide lovely white bed linen and huge towels for your stay.

What a view!

We had a fabulous time at the Beach House. We were three generations and the house suited us perfectly. Our grandchildren loved the "upside down house" and we all thought the view from the sitting area was amazing. The older two granddaughters spent a lot of time watching the birds through their binoculars. It was a little too breezy for us to make use of the verandah this time, but we enjoyed our evening meals at the table with the sun shining warmly on us.

The house had everything we needed and we cannot think of anything to improve on it at all. The kitchen was well equipped, there was plenty of room for six of us, ample hot water in the bathrooms and the beds were declared very comfy by all.

Beadnell makes a good base for exploring and Alnwick was a short drive away, a must for Harry Potter fans! The castle and gardens are well worth a visit.

We were here for a beach holiday though and The Beach House was perfect for that. It was ideally situated for us, as, with a three year old, we were able to break the days up by returning for lunch after a morning exploring the rock pool directly opposite the house. In the afternoon we went to the "sandy beach" the beautiful bay a very short walk away. After dinner there was time to go to the play park (thanks for the recommendation, Lucinda) before three exhausted girls were in bed. To be honest, Mum and Mama and Papa were not far behind them.

Thank you very much and we hope that we will be able to return very soon.

Wonderful luxurious accommodation with breathtaking views.

Wish we could have stayed longer in the stunning Beach House. Very well equipped, warm cosy beds and a high level of decoration and cleanliness throughout. We enjoyed great walks from the door along the beach and coastal path to Newton by the Sea and the Joiners Arms (Bistro pub) for lunch. Took a two hour drive to Falkirk, Scotland to see the magnificent Kelpies and Falkirk wheel, well worth the drive. Enjoyed a lovely evening meal in Lilburns restaurant and great Fish & Chips from Carlos, both in Alnwick. Also enjoyed some local brew in the Craster Arms 10mins walk from the house. Congratulations to Guy and Lucinda for providing this fabulous house in such a great location. Hope to return someday.

What a great property. Perfect.

Stayed for a week over new year as a group of six adults. The website pictures are great but we were still surprised just how spacious and well designed the property was. The living area is open planned with lots of light particularly from the huge picture window looking out to the sea. In the evening though was very cosy with log fire burning. The kitchen was probably the most well equipped I've ever known in a holiday rental and was so useful to have the separate utility room to wash sandy clothes. Good sized bedrooms and lovely bathrooms for 3 couples but would be great for families too especially with the brilliant rumpus room.

The location was perfect for lovely walks on the beach and easy drives to Seahouses and surrounding areas. Our hosts were easy to reach for any questions and couldn't be more helpful and accommodating.

Can't recommend this property highly enough. Thanks Lucinda and Guy for such a relaxing and wonderful stay.

Beautiful house with lovely views of the sea

We recently stayed for a long weekend in Beadnell for our son's wedding. Beadnell is such an amazing place with long sandy beaches, rock pools, a harbour and a friendly village within 5 minutes walk from our accommodation.

The house was renovated to an impressive standard with style and flair. The lounge big picture window gave wonderful views of the sea which was captivating. The house was immaculate with everything we could need, The whole stay was totally enjoyable.

There is so much to do on this beautiful coastline if you can bear to leave the superb views out to sea from the house. Beaches to walk, paddling to enjoy, local produce to relish, water sport, golf courses to exasperate, horse rides that explore the wildlife, bike rides with an ice-cream stop. Booking Notes:
25% Non refundable deposit is payable on booking and the balance is due 60 days before arrival date. Payment by cheque or bank transfer. To pay by card you will need to use this site and take the hit of the service charge.

Special Couples Offer -

To allow couples to enjoy this stunning holiday house at an affordable price, we offer a 5% discount on all bookings for two guests sharing the same bedroom. This includes couples that wish to bring a baby, for whom we will supply a complimentary cot.

Please note that this offer is not available in the school holidays ie easter, May 1/2 term week, June, July and August, October 1/2 term or over Christmas and New Year.

Tariffs
Heating and electricity, and bed linen and towels are included in the price of the booking. However wood for the woodburner is not included.

Cancellations
Once booked the deposit is non-refundable and you are committed to paying the balance when due. If for an unfortunate reason you need to cancel the owner will endeavor to re-let/change your week. If the property is re-let for a lesser price the difference will be payable by the original booker. If unable to re-let the balance will still be due.

For the comfort of all of our guests, the house and gardens are strictly non smoking.

It is the guests' responsibility to take good care of the property and to leave it in the same clean and tidy condition as they found it.
