The world is becoming very unstable and Terceira island is a save heaven, ideal for resting and getting away from the hustle of everyday life.
Our retirement is approaching and time to be with friends and change life style brought us to this destination. Having seen a lot around the world, this wooden house at this location caught our eye and spirit with its involving sensation, feeling of warmth and comfort.
Temperatures are mild in Terceira though winters can be rainy, but as said locally – you get the four seasons in a day. After buying furniture locally we decided to transform it and give color to contrast with the wooden walls bringing life and joy indoors.
We want to share our happiness and so decided to put up the house for short rentals. Come and experience.

Terceira is a hidden paradise in the middle of the Atlantic still untouched. The house is unique on the island and made for this climate. Wood brings in a good vibe of peace and quietness.
We had 7 people traveling to Terceira and this house accommodated us perfectly. It was very spacious with a lot of amenities including a washer and dryer, fast internet, TV with cable and a very large stocked kitchen. The property is completely fenced in which is nice with kids and there is a very large backyard with a view of the ocean. It's less than a 10-minute drive to Angra and there is also a pizza place across the street.
Our host was easy to communicate with and very helpful, we were greeted with a basket of local foods and wine. Carlos met us at the airport and gave us a very thorough introduction to the house and was available for any of our needs. We had a great stay.

Most activities are nature related - hiking, walking on trails, jeep tours, whale/dolphin watching where kids have great fun, scuba diving and snorkeling tours, swimming/diving off man-made platforms into very clean ocean waters, golf, bird watching, pic-nick areas and children parks here and there are some activities available.
Visit some historical sites such as WWI trenches and the biggest European fortress. The city museum is well organized and represents the local history well.
Popular festivities happen in Carnival (Feb or Mar) and Sanjoaninas (end of June) in Angra do Heroismo and Praia Festival in Praia da Vitoria (August) with concerts, bullfighting (in arenas or bullfighting on a rope), food stalls, theatrical shows, fireworks and sporting events ending with a parade of popular dances. By the end of September Festas da Vinha at Biscoitos celebrate wine and the vineyards.
Angra Rock festival happens in September and Angra Jazz in October.
Enjoy local food specialties, fresh fish and shellfish as well as beef from grass fed cows easily available at the many reasonably priced restaurants.
The best pizza is across the street.
