Sóller Apartment Rental Photos and Description

2 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, fantastic private terrace with mountain views

Enjoy the best of Soller, a beautiful old town set in a valley of orange and lemon trees surrounded by the magnificent Tramuntana mountains. Occupying the top two floors of an authentic Mallorcan townhouse on a quiet, pedestrian street just yards from the main placa, this self-contained, roomy apartment has been completely refurbished to provide an ideal base for exploring the glorious countryside of north-west Mallorca whilst making the most of the charming delights of a characterful market town that bustles with life all year round. The beach and promenade of Port de Soller are just 3km away and can be reached on foot, by bike, car or by catching the open-sided wooden tram that shuttles back and forth between the town and the Port.

The apartment has two large double bedrooms on the first floor, one with an expansive en-suite bathroom with sunken bath. There’s also a separate bathroom with a large walk-in shower. The top floor is one large open plan, kitchen, sitting and dining area, with a log burner to keep it cosy in the winter months. But the jewel in the crown is the superb split level terrace, which has amazing 360 degree views of the surrounding mountains whilst at the same time offering complete privacy. Perfect for both sunbathing and stargazing, with an outdoor shower, BBQ and shaded sitting area. All the usual amenities are provided, including fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, wifi, TV, Blue ray player. Perfect for one or two couples.

About Sue & Grant

As owners of a design and marketing company, when we decided to refurbish an old townhouse in Soller, we wanted to make sure it was something we could put our own design stamp on. We are fans of clean, modern interiors and have invested in quality fittings and furnishings that meet our aesthetic standards and our interior design approach is intended to make the most of the fantastic light and air of the Mallorcan mountains.

Sue & Grant purchased this apartment in 2003

Why Sue & Grant chose Deia - Soller Region

We decided to investigate Mallorca after some friends told us that the long-held British cliches just weren't true. We spent a week exploring the island and just seemed to keep gravitating back to Soller - it immediately drew us in. Soller has everything we wanted: it's active all year round and it feels like a proper place with a real community who are very open and welcoming. We were fortunate in coming across the super people at real estate agents Casas Mallorca who showed us the apartment in a very dilapidated state, but had the imagination and vision to see what it could become. With their help and support, we did a full renovation of an old flat and abandoned attic space, taking half the roof away to reveal superlative views of Soller and the mountains that just take your breath away. It's a view that never fails to lift the soul and one we never tire of going back to.

What makes this apartment unique

Calle St Juan is one of the prettiest streets in Soller - a small plant-lined pedestrian route from the main shopping street Calle de Luna. It is literally a few hundred yards from the main town square, yet due to the amazing acoustic impact of being ringed by mountains, sitting on the terrace you could be miles away, it's so quiet and peaceful. You can go on any number of great walks from the front door, and there are a range of great restaurants both in the town, in the other villages in the valley and down at he Port to keep any garstrophil very happy. And if you've not yet tried Mallorcan wines, you're in for a real treat!

Amazing apartment in the heart of Soller with spectacular views and lots of creature comforts!

We stayed at the atico for a week in August and enjoyed every minute of it! The apartment is superbly equipped with everything that you need to enjoy your stay. Moreover, the owners go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and to help with all aspects of your visit.

The apartment is right in the heart of Soller which means you get a far more authentic feeling of the town, and all of the local shops are right on your doorstep so stocking up on lovely food and drink is very easy! The roof terrace provides the perfect view to enjoy with a good book and glass of wine, and when the sun gets too hot duck under the outside shower or sail shade to cool down! This was a perfect week of relaxation and one that we very much hope to repeat in the future. I can't recommend the atico highly enough!

The property is beautiful and furnished to a high standard. For us the location was perfect - in the heart of the town but with views and some peace and quiet on the roof terrace.

beautiful apartment in Soller

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in this beautiful apartment for one week and couldn't fault it!

We arrived to find a lovely welcome pack . We had forgotten our information with the address!!!!! not a problem, a quick text to Sue the owner who immediately sent us an email with all relevant information regarding the apartment.

Having stayed in many self catering accommodation around Europe we can honestly say that The Attico was certainly one of the nicest.

The apartment is situated off the main square in Soller and close to shops and bars (we initially thought that this may have been a little noisy) We need not have worried, the apartment is cleverly thought out with the bedrooms on the 1st floor and kitchen/living area and patio on the top floor.

The towels, bed linen and appliances were all of good quality . Shower gel, hand wash, coffee, toilet rolls were all provided (we have stayed in some accommodation where one toilet roll was provided!) It was definitely home from home.

Soller is a beautifull town and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, we hired a car (not essential) and visited some lovely places nearby, Fornalutx and Valldermossa are well worth a visit. We took the train from Soller through the mountains to Palma and would highly recommend this.

Each day we found ourselves returning to the patio!!!! Swallows dipped and swooped and the only sounds were the church bells and birdsong.

Would most definitely recommend this apartment

Hiking and Climbing in Mallorca

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed a fantastic week enjoying all the area has to offer, but some of our highlights were hiking and rock climbing with a local British guide/instructor.

Rockclimbing was with Justin of 'Rock and Ride Mallorca'. With a lifetime of experience he can instruct or guide almost anyone at a level that's comfortable to them - and being British it made booking etc very straightforward. He supplied all equipment in excellent order and we met near Valldemossa paying €60 each for about 4hrs top-roping and lead climbing.

Simple walks included roundtrips to Fornalutx and Port Soller along the rural limestone paths through gentle wooded hillsides. It's about an hour each way for both destinations and is a lovely way to spend the evening, eating out and having a few drinks.

Our biggest walk was a round trip from Valldemossa (which is a lovely village and has good parking and tourist info office in the centre). We walked from there up to the famous and probably most dramatic path in Mallorca; the Arch Duke's trail atop limestone cliffs (don't go if it's very windy or you get severe vertigo!).
