About Susan Brown
I am an artist, author, yoga practitioner and teacher. My husband, Aaron is an artist and singer/songwriter and rescuer of cows. We are both stewards of Nectar Farm. His greatest artistic inspiration came from Jean Arp, and my greatest inspiration came from Agnes Martin. We live two miles from Nectar with our cats, Margaret and Jake.
Susan Brown purchased this House in 1995
Why Susan Brown chose Lyndeborough
This property is dear to our hearts because the beautiful natural setting is like a sanctuary; it is so peaceful! We raised our kids here. When Nectar Farm is not being rented, Susan teaches yoga and art, and we still enjoy family events and holidays together. Nectar Farm is truly magical! And we rent another property in Lyndeborough, a classic antique cape with gorgeous views: www.homeaway.com/vacation-rental/p4978420
What makes this House unique
We fell in love with the mountain views and all of the abundant wildlife and birds, the big moving sky that changes, and the bright stars at night!

Great family get-away
Absolute beautiful property - gorgeous views (even better than shown on the listing), exceptional accommodations with lots of room for family, firepit outside was a great hit and perfect for star-gazing. Owner was wonderfully communicative - answered every text immediately. I would go here again in a heartbeat!
Our daughter’s wedding was just down the way from this scenic location. The pictures do not do this place justice! Susan was fantastic to deal with and the open space was perfect for all! Thank you!
Kim, thank you for being such a wonderful guest! I am glad everything worked out so well, and we hope you will stay at Nectar Farm again!!
Lovely home in a beautiful setting...
Would definitely stay again if we were in the area.
Well-maintained house in beautiful pastoral location
Everything worked. Views were spectacular. Owner was a pleasure to deal with.
Beautiful, clean and tucked away!!
The house was off the beaten path which was exactly what we were looking for.
House was clean and had every amenity you could ever need. The view was nothing short of spectacular!!
Susan the owner was so sweet and accommodating.
We loved our stay!!
Dear Tina, It was a pleasure to host your family! Thank you for keeping the place so incredibly clean and tidy. We hope you have occasion to stay at Nectar Farm again in the future!
Comfortable, beautiful, and private
This house surpassed our expectations! It was the perfect location for our summer family getaway. Despite drenching rain, we still had a wonderful time because the house itself is so wonderful. Views, peace, quiet, relaxation. What more could you ask for?
Thank you, Kiera, it was a pleasure to host your family. You always have a home away with us! Best, Susan
Our place has great views on 35 beautiful acres, is close to art & culture, hiking, and restaurants & dining. You’ll love Nectar Farm because of the views, the location, ambiance, and the outdoors space.
Our place is perfect for travelers, artists, contemplatives, a girl’s weekend, a retreat, parents visiting their kids at local boarding schools, and for anybody looking for a lovely comfortable place to experience nature for brief or extended stays.
Enjoy spectacular sunset dinners on the screened porch while the kids catch fireflies! Fall asleep snug and safe in your comfortable beds, to the sounds of crickets, peepers, owls, and the occasional nighttime call of a coyote or bear.
You won't want to leave! But if you do go exploring there is plenty to do in the nearby Monadnock Region, Lakes Region, White Mountains, and Seacoast. If you love hiking, there are easy hikes on nearby Temple, North Pack, Pack Monadnock, Winn, Lyndeborough and Rose Mountains (all seen from Nectar Farm!), and for a challenge you’ll want to hike Mount Monadnock.
And who knows, you just might begin that novel or read novels already written as you restore, refresh and rejuvenate during your stay at Nectar Farm.
Our place is only 2 miles from the fantastic old-fashioned independent theater: "The Wilton Town Hall Theater," on Main Street in Wilton, which always shows great films and the popcorn has real butter for as little as $1.50.
Many wonderful restaurants and art galleries can be found in Peterborough, Manchester and Keene. We especially enjoy LaBelle WInery in Bedford, NH.
-The closest grocery store, Market Basket, is 10 minutes away in Milford
-Whole Foods and Aldi are 30 minutes away in Nashua
-Nature's Green Grocer (health food market and cafe on the river), Maggies (health food store in town), and Shaws are all about 30 minutes away in Peterborough.
Optional: This peaceful sanctuary is perfect for everybody who loves: easy hiking in fields and quiet forests, bird-watching, snowshoeing in winter, and the thrill of catching sight of deer, fox, turkeys, porcupines and the rare sighting of a moose or bear.
