So glad we chose Casa Peces!!!!

  • 5 of 5

Let me start by saying the pics are IDENTICAL to what we walked in to! While the roads leading to and surrounding casa peces is certainly undeveloped, upon opening the front door we were in an oasis of our own!! Even our hired driver who is a native was blown away. Doris provided EXCELLENT service from my 1st inquiry all the way through my arrival. She provide clear and concise directions to the property, tour information and even encouraged we bring a light jacket which was needed every evening since we traveled during rain season in Costa Rica. The house is huge to be one leveled and it was perfect for 4 women(group of friends) as we all had enough personal space and equally amount of space in the common areas when we want to be together. Jessica (our maid & hired cook) was an absolute pleasure! We wanted to take her home with us 😁?. She didn't speak English and we didn't speak much Spanish but collectively we were able to communicate just fine with the help of google translate. Everything on the house worked properly because we used it! The sauna, house phone, the pool, the tv, the garage, the grill and the alarm. The property is located in Santa Ana a town within San Jose literally 15-20 mins away from multiplaza mall, grocery stores, the airport, banks, clubs etc it's super conveniently located. We made and received local calls with ease and the only 2 times we needed assistance I called Marta(owner) and she was always available speaking very clear English and handled my needs promptly. I couldn't have asked for a better birthday.

Cons: only 1 tv in the entire house that audios Spanish with English subtitles but if you're tech savvy like me it'll be easy to convert over to English using remote. The ants were the biggest issue. There's a lot of wood in the home, mixed with the fresh flowers and plants and plenty of rain so I understood but it was a little annoying.

Other than those 2 MINOR issues this house and vacation was PERFECT and I highly recommend.

Owner's Response: Nik F, Thank you for staying @ Casa Peces! We are so happy you had a great time in the house! We pride ourselves on making our clients comfortable. We apologize for the ants as they are an on going battle all over Costa Rica. Yes it is quite annoying but unfortunately we will never be able to figure out what exactly they are looking for sugar ,water, plants...we'll never know. We do everything we can to keep them out but they always find a way back in. The best part about that house is location, location ,location!! Thanks again! Pura Vida

Lovely house close to everything

  • 5 of 5

There were 6 of us and we enjoyed the spacious comfort of this lovely house. The floor plan made us feel like we had our own private resort. The daily maid service was a great treat. The house was spotless everyday. The pool was wonderful and a great way to while away the afternoons. Over all a really relaxing vacation spot.

Amazing Get Away

  • 5 of 5

The house was absolutely amazing with a great floor plan and of course the swimming pool in the middle. Very clean and cozy!!! This is by far, the nicest house we have stayed in while visiting CR and this is our 4th trip. The housekeeper comes daily to clean up after us and do laundry which was a big plus and allowed us time to enjoy the country.

We will definitely be staying here next time!!!

I will definitely stay here again...

  • 5 of 5

Our stay (4 guys) was perfect at Casa Peces. Dorit was very professional in getting our reservation and scheduling accommodations. Marlen met us at the house with the keys and gave a GRAND tour of the house and how everything works. Jessica the cleaning lady was GREAT and cooked one meal, we regret not using her more. The house was very clean, modern, spacious, and the pool was plus. The location was close to our favorite golf course, the mall and SJO airport. We will definitely stay here again...

Santa Ana is very popular with foreigners—it’s a place that has developed very quickly, converting into one of the most modern cities of San Jose Costa Rica. It has an abundance of facilities and services for all types of travelers including shopping malls, restaurants, stores, banks, pharmacies, and Costa Rica’s largest mall, MultiPlaza. It is located within close proximity to Price Smart and Office Depot and the world-class CIMA Hospital Medical Tower. In addition there are two golf courses nearby. The food court mall, Momentum, has some of the best restaurants in the country and throughout the area you can find numerous excellent restaurants. Find recommendations below: Eskazu Taj MaJal. This burst of Northern Indian flavor is such a rarity in Central America that we can overlook the slightly less-than-factual claim that the restaurant is the isthmus's only such option. The suburban mansion went through a few dining incarnations before Taj Mahal became a hit in 2003. Richly swathed in warm fuchsias, red ochres, and golds, the dining area sprawls through a handful of small, intimate rooms out to an outdoor gazebo in the tree-covered backyard. The price-to-portion size is a little high, particularly for North Americans used to good, cheap Indian food, but the sharp Tandoori dishes, curries, and biryanis are a welcome vacation from ubiquitous European and American fare.
