Cosy and comfortable
This was our third stay at Iona Cottage. The views are stunning and the location really suits us with a fantastic beach only minutes away ( the dogs love it) and family nearby.
Beautiful cottage great short break for me and my four children.
Me and my four children had an amazing time staying in this beautiful cottage. Amazing sights all around and the snow was an added bonus. Thank you so much
Lovely cottage, stunning views, very cosy
We had a lovely family holiday at Iona, and had a good greeting from Lesley, with very welcome scones/wine. The cottage made for a good base to explore the North Coast, and we enjoyed it very much, including our dog. Highlights were the beach walks, ferry to Donegal, and relaxing
We arrived at Iona Cottage around 7pm. We were greeted by Lesley Who showed us around the Cottage. No Hot water in the mornings as the lady didn't want guests touching her central heating system. Also had one blind down all the time because part of one of the out buildings was left to rot. Shame their wasn't a swimming pool and the Grass was only cut halfway through the week. Definitely won't be staying at Iona Cottage again
Apologies for the outbuilding....It is Lesley's intention to have this removed. Lesley informed you not to touch the heating system as we have had trouble in the past with people mashing buttons and breaking the system. The shower in the bathroom is electric so its always hot. She did however show you how to press the boost button on the control panel if you needed extra hot water in the morning. You should have called/messaged and we would have been able to help you out in this matter rather than leave a poor review? Slightly confused regarding the swimming pool comment also....
Cosy and comfortable
This was out second stay at Iona Cottage. It is very comfortable and with the wood burner on, it is indeed very warm and cosy - even in February. The dogs loved it especially as it is so close to Downhill beach which is just an amazing place.
