Private Courtyard, Close to Porthmeor Beach, Contemporary Style

Beach Haven is a contemporary house sat in an elevated position within St Ives with great sea views. Overlooking the surfing beach of Porthmeor, The Island, St Ives Bay and Clodgy Point. A stroll from the harbour, beaches and restaurants the house is perfectly positioned for a great holiday in St Ives. Beach Haven is just a few minutes walk from the South West Coast Path which offers stunning scenery as you meander along the coast. There is a private sunny courtyard, perfect for alfresco meals. Open plan living space with floor to ceiling windows, perfect to view the ocean and surrounding coast. The kitchen is well equipped with glass hob positioned so even the chef has a sea view. Well thought out and equipped the appliances include a dishwasher, freezer, wine fridge, washing machine and tumble dryer it really has everything you will need during your stay. The master bedroom has a king size bed and stunning views to Godrevy Lighthouse, the second bedroom has two single beds and overlooks the courtyard below. You will love the luxurious limestone lined bathroom with a freestanding bath, double walk-in shower all complimented with underfloor heating – perfect for soaking away the stresses of life. At the front, there is a lawned garden. The living room has a flat screen wall mounted TV with Freeview channels along with a DVD player, each bedroom has a TV and DVD Player and there is a Play Station in the twin bedroom. In addition to this, you will find a high chair, travel cot and stair gate for the younger members of your party. A garden shed provides space for surfboards and wetsuits and there is an outside tap to wash everything down at the end of a day on the beach. Linen and towels are provided. Unrestricted on-street parking is available on a first come basis.

We have been welcoming guests to Beach Haven for nine years, every guest who has stayed falls in love with the house and the view.

Why Rachel chose St Ives

St Ives is the most beautiful town which is famous for attracting artists due to the unique quality of light. We fell in love with St Ives many years ago and feel very privileged to own Beach Haven. We love to share our home with our guests so that they too can stay in high quality accommodation with a fabulous view in this very special and unique location in beautiful Cornwall.

What makes this house unique

The views are fabulous, whether you sit on the sofa in the living room with its floor to ceiling glass wall which takes in the views over the sea, beach and island or if you wake up in the morning, open the wooden blinds and take in the view from the master bedroom. It wasn't until we finished renovating Beach Haven and sat on the sofa for the first time that we appreciated exactly how fabulous the views are!

Simply Fabulous

The place was simply lovely and quite central. St Ives and Cornwall are a gem. The property is very clean and tastefully furnished with all the necessary amenities. Beds very comfortable. Huge TV. Welcome pack was well appreciated especially the scones which included clotted cream strawberry conserve and butter! Thanks Rachel for your extra touch and prompt replies. We loved every minute and would recommend it to anyone!

Spacious, clean and comfortable

The location of the property is up a steep hill from the town of St Ives. At first this was intimidating ,but we adjusted to it quite well and enjoyed our morning walk into town for shopping and coffee etc.

We enjoyed the visits to the bakery and butchers. Very friendly service and excellent quality products.

St Ives is ideally located to the coastal pathway which is a highlight experience for any outdoor enthusiast and walker.

Parking can be a problem as there is no assigned parking for this property, although there are a number of parking spaces available on a first come first serve basis and we did manage to get a spot each time we needed one.

There are stairs to the 2 bedrooms that may present difficulty to some.

Would recommend a stay to our friends.

Very homely, clean and in a superb location.

Beach Haven suited us in every way. Very close to the main beach, local to all shopping and resturants. And everything we needed was catered for.

Also the rooms and bathroom were very spacious. Highly recommended! Excellent place.

We had a fabulous stay at Beach Haven, the property was modern and well equipped to deal with a small family. The views are stunning and the walk to Porthmeor Beach is beautiful. There is lots to do for families and friends. I would recommend Beach Haven.

Wunderschöne Unterkunft, Top Lage, herzlicher Empfang!

Ein wunderschönes Ferienhaus in einer hervorragenden Lage mit Meerblick. Modern eingerichtet mit allem, was man braucht (sogar einem Weinkühlschrank) und sehr sauber. Sehr nett fanden wir den herzlichen Empfang: Bei unserer Anreise fanden wir Brot, Scones, Butter, Cream, Marmelade, Tee und Kaffee vor - der erste Cornish Cream Tea konnte sofort beginnen. Wir erinnern uns sehr gerne an diesen Aufenthalt und werden gerne wiederkommen.

St Ives has so much to offer it is difficult to know where to start!

Tate St Ives has an ever changing art exhibition, along with the Barbara Hepworth museum and gardens not to mention the numerous private galleries throughout St Ives makes this a paradise for artists.

However with pretty cobbled streets, a harbour and 5 different beaches all within walking distance this wonderful location will not disappoint. The South West Coast Path is 5 minutes from the house and the stunning cliff top walks will take your breath away.

Why not take a boat trip along the coast to see the grey seals and if you are lucky you may spot a common / harbour seal which is not quite as common as the name suggests. Dolphins are regular visitors to St Ives Bay and to watch a pod jumping out of the water is a truly special experience.

St Ives is home to some seriously cool and fabulous restaurants, you really are spoilt for choice. Not only are their restaurants but some pretty great cafes and coffee houses where locally roasted coffee and locally grown tea (yes Cornish grown tea) can be enjoyed whilst enjoying the sea view. A trip to Cornwall would not be complete without enjoying a traditional cream tea.

The shops in St Ives are a mixture of independent boutiques, lovely gift shops, camera shops, clothing, art, bakers, butchers, ice cream parlours, pastie shops, art galleries and much much more.

A car is not necessary as the whole town is accessible on foot, there are hills so if you don't fancy walking a 2 minute ride in a taxi is an option.

If you do have a car there is a lot to explore in this beautiful area of Cornwall, including the open air Minack Theatre at Porthcurno, St Michael's Mount set on its own island in Mount's Bay to miles of sand dunes at Hayle. One of the prettiest and scenic coast drives runs from St Ives to St Just, the bus goes this way so even if you don't have a car you can still enjoy this stunning coastal drive.

Your booking is made as a consumer and you agree that no liability can be accepted by Us for any expenses, costs, losses, claims or other sums of any description which relate to any business, howsoever suffered or incurred by you. When we issue a written confirmation to you, this signifies that We have entered into a contract with you, which is subject to these Conditions. We have the right to refuse any booking prior to the issue of your written confirmation, and if We do this, We will tell you in writing and promptly refund any money you have paid Us. When you receive your confirmation, the details must be checked carefully. If anything is not correct, you should tell us within seven days. We reserve the right to terminate the letting contact if you are in breach of any of the booking conditions contained within this document.2 PAYMENT & DEPOSITWhen you book Beach Haven you should pay the amount then due by debit or credit card. If you book less than 8 weeks before your arrival date, payment of your total holiday cost is due straightaway.
