Day trips include Honeysuckle Farm (ideal for young families); The Deep (the world’s biggest submarium) which is full of exotic deep-sea creatures, in the port city of Hull; the lovely county town of Beverley with its racecourse, twice-weekly markets, annual world-class music festival held at Beverley Minster, and of course the Yorkshire coastal resorts of Scarborough, Bridlington and Filey to the north.
