This terraced holiday home is situated on Walney Island which measures 11 miles in length, and just less than 1 mile in width, and is the eighth largest island off the coast of England. The North Walney Nature Reserve has rare plants, including the Walney Geranium, whilst the South Walney Nature Reserve has the Cumbrian wildlife. There are miles of sandy beach less than a mile away for everyone to enjoy including the family pet, lots of sporting activities including kite-surfing, and along the promenade there is a public slip way for launching your own boat. There are plenty of pubs and restaurants nearby including a Chinese restaurant. Also worth a visit is the interesting Dock Museum with a park for the children, and a cafe. Walney is a great holiday location with something for everyone. Shop 100 yards, pub 200 yards and restaurant 3/4 mile.
