Book this charming cottage now for your summer 2016 Cape Cod Getaway!!! Cozy cottage only 4/10 of a mile to the beach! Private, fenced back yard, 2 decks, outdoor shower. South of Lower County Rd, walking distance to the Dog House (delicious hot dogs!) Chapin's (Formerly Clancy's), and other local restaurants. Convenient access to Rt. 28 attractions and just a few miles to Rt. 6. Cottage updated by owners looking to share the Cape Cod experience. This is a true Cape Cod Cottage! Beautiful Glendon Beach just 4/10ths of a mile away! Close to many attractions (restaurants, kayak rentals, bike path, shopping, mini golf, etc.) just minutes away!!
My family and I stayed here for Memorial Day weekend! We had an absolute blast. We stocked up on groceries before arriving and literally did not leave the cottage ( except for a trip to Honey Dew and Cuffys).
The cottage is so charming and gives off a feeling of home without being home! The beach decorations all through out the house are so cute! We enjoyed the deck outside the most with the table, chairs and umbrella! The pictures dont do the back yard justice!
Plenty of room for our little one to run around! I expected to arrive to an empty kitchen (no utensils paper towels etc) to my surprise it was fully stocked, I did leave behind my unused plastic silverware as all of the other travelers did.
The bathroom necessities are also the same, they have a shelf that you can leave all your unused shampoo soap toothpaste, hair care etc! I did that as well! I hope to be back next year!!
We couldn't have picked a better spot for our Cape Cod vacation. The cottage is perfectly situated - it's close to everything important like beaches, Sundae School and Woolfies. Trust me, you don't need much more than these for a perfect vacation. :) All kidding aside, the location is perfect and the cottage itself is lovely. It's small and quaint, but it has everything you'll need in the fully furnished and functional kitchen. The beds are comfortable and though it doesn't have airconditioning, the window fans were more than adequate to cool the rooms down in the evening. And the outdoor shower...? The absolute best. There's nothing like taking that shower outside after a day at the beach. Wonderful! Thanks again Jennifer and Robert for allowing us to stay in your lovely cottage.
Really enjoyed our stay, it was exactly what I was picturing for a cozy Cape Cod cottage like the ones I remember vacationing in as a child on Cape Cod. My children ages 7 and 12 loved that we had a backyard to play in and it was great having the room to have family and friends down for a BBQ. The outdoor shower was FANTASTIC! The cottage meet all of our expectations and was decorated very cute and “beachy”. If we ever make it back to MA we would stay here again! Great place to set up camp and explore Cape Cod and on the days when you want to take it easy there is a nice small beach within walking distance. Good restaurants close by too!
Me and my fiancee stayed here for the week of July 4th and it was the perfect spot for us. Close to everything you need; groceries, beer, coffee, restaurants and bars and probably 1/3 mile walk to the beach.
We went to the Sailing Cow quite a few times right across from Glendon Beach. Good food and drinks - they had some live country musicians playing over the 4th weekend.
The cottage is one of the most charming on the street, has a nice private backyard for grilling to have some guests visit.
Overall great value and we've already reserved it for next year :)
My wife and I spent a wonderfully relaxing week here with our 2 year old daughter and could not have been more satisfied with the experience. We found the space to be a perfect mix of secluded, with the fenced in private back yard, as well as perfectly located to the local attractions. Every morning we would pack up the wagon and make the 5 minute walk to the beach for the day. I could go on and on about how much we loved this property, but above all we found that the owners were friendly and were as dedicated to us enjoying our vacation as we were. The cottage was equipped with everything needed to settle in to a great home away from home. We can't wait to return to 117 Captain Chase Road next year, and for many years to come as well.
I loved this beach cottage. It was perfect size for 3 people, certainly could accommodate more. One thing I love is my privacy, this cottage was great since it had a fence around the property. Back lawn we played Badminton and ate at the picnic table. Although, we did not use the fireplace, it made it feel more romantic. I would say this would also make a great little vacation spot in the colder weather. The beach is only 1/2 mile away, easy walk or bike. This trip we went to Holiday Hill for mini-golf and bumper cars and topped off with an ice cream from the Sundae School Ice Cream Shop. We also did the Cape Cod Duckmobiles, not as nice as Boston. The wood floor with the knotty pine walls makes it feel rustic. They have a full-size bed which was very comfortable, took a little getting used since I have queen at home. The kitchen was fully stocked with anything you needed. Plenty of fans were placed in the windows and we had a wonderfully cool breeze!! Thanks to Jen for her prompt responses. I cannot wait to visit again. Would definitely recommend.
Our cottage is near to all your Cape Cod vacation needs! Paddleboats and kayaks to rent less than a mile up the road. Beautiful Glendon Beach just a short walk from the cottage. Restaurants, movie theatres, shopping, mini golf, arcades, batting cages, etc. right up Rts 28 and 134. Easy access to Rt 6 to take you to Chatham, Truro and Provincetown. Cape Cod bike path/bike rentals right on Rt134 and only a couple miles from the cottage. Don't forget The Christmas Tree Shop and Cuffy's! A trip to the Cape isn't complete without a stop at these landmarks!
