We will certainly recommend you to anyone we know coming to the city. Roscoe Village is such a great neighborhood!!!!
This apartment is great for a group, with the three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. It is nice to have both bathrooms off the hallway for morning prep by everyone. The check-in was easy and the entry code system is also nice for a group that doesn’t always leave and return at the same time. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and glassware. It was nice to have coffee and tea available for our use. The backyard looks like it would be nice for summertime stays. Rain and temps in April kept us from sitting outside.
The neighborhood is very quiet. Two people in our group arrived by car and street parking was available right out front. Over the weekend, it was a little busier, and sometimes they parked down the block. It is just a few blocks walk to the business district with a variety of shops, restaurants, and bars. The Brown Line Station is over a half mile walk away, but there are bus routes along several streets just a block or two from the house. Some buses connect to the El and another north-south bus went past the United Center where our group was attending an event. This was particularly convenient for late night returns without the need to take the El train through downtown.
Overall, the group was very pleased with the apartment and would gladly return on a future visit to Chicago. For a larger group, it would be nice to rent the downstairs unit too.
We arrived after dark and the unit was all lit up for our arrival. We could tell in the dark that the neighborhood was family friendly. After dropping our bags off we headed out to eat. We walked two maybe three blocks to a very yummy Italian restaurant that took our party of 8 right in.Everything you need is in walking distance( the train , shops, restaurants, ATM,bars and even a church we walked too. We enjoyed the location very much,we were in Roscoe Village. I gotta say download uber( cabs) so fast better than the train. Our unit had 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms , kitchen, yard, living area. The unit isn't big but it was very comfortable for 8.Everything we needed was in the unit.The unit was updated with modern bathrooms and comfy beds with nice down comforters.I would recommend this to family and friends and since we only had limited time due to wedding events we are planning a trip back next year to sight see.Thank you Roscoe Village Staff for a very clean and welcoming stay!!!!
We loved it! Roscoe Village and this guesthouse are
both great. We stayed 3 nights in March and wish
we could have stayed longer. The neighborhood is
quiet and you are a block away from a bunch of
neat and trendy restaurants/bars and shops. It was
very convenient to be able to walk to wherever we
needed to go and downtown Chicago is just a 10-
15 minute drive. The guesthouse is very
comfortable and kept very clean. We would
recommend this place to anyone and would
definitely like to return. A++
