A wonderful place in which to relax and unwind, this comfortable and charming 17th-century brick and flint cottage was once the village blacksmith’s shop and still retains its original brick forge. Set in one of Suffolk’s prettiest villages, it is well placed for exploring the area’s many delights. Both Sutton Hoo (NT) and Woodbridge, with its picturesque harbour and good shopping, are less than 1 mile distant. A short drive away, fishing boats make an attractive picture at the little coastal resort of Aldeburgh (also famous for its fish and chips), whilst Southwold and its summer theatre, Framlingham Castle, Constable Country and the town of Ipswich are all within easy reach. Shop 100 yards and pub serving food 0.25 miles.
