The Cape Cod Rail Trail runs along one side of the pond. The cottage, located at the town line between Harwich and Brewster, is part of a family enclave down a dirt road on the edge of the Punkhorn, an 880-acre nature preserve in Brewster. Miles of dirt paths through these woods are virtually at the doorstep of this cottage – ideal for runners, mountain bikers, or walkers. Brewster and the Pleasant Lake General Store are a short drive away. Salt water beaches on Cape Cod Bay & Nantucket Sound are a few miles away. Three bedrooms: 1 queen, 1 twin, 2 twins. TV with cable. Linens & towels provided for extra $15 per person. No pets or smoking.

A very pleasant surprise. Once there we found the cottage to be clean, comfortable and fully equippe

Definitely coming back. Couldn't have asked for better. The access road is a little hard on the vehicle but you won't get a lot of traffic Plenty of wildlife, ducks, wild turkeys, rabbits, etc. The access to the pond front beach is 50 yards from the front door and we had the beach entirely to ourselves. The owners are great. We were considering a location within walking distance to Red River Beach but for the value, location and solitude we made the right decision.

Excellent Family Spot!

  • 3 of 5

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at this rental. The grounds were perfect and the beach was wonderful to have.... Road in is tricky but it's only for residents and tenants so it is tolerable. The only thing I can reference as a possible upgrade would be the TV and Grill.. Both are a bit small but there is an added benefit to being able to bring your grill to the beach....and... who really needs TV when at the Cape! Faulty fire alarm needs fixing, which they are working on so aside from that.... definitely a repeat location..

Can't say enough nice things about this place. Just exactly what we were looking for. Great pond beach steps from the door. Close proximity to Brewster or Orleans bay beaches. House was clean and charming. This house is the way the cape should be. Few frills, but comfort and fun abound.

Polly and her family were incredibly attentive to our family. Very nice people. Satisfying to give someone like that your business.

This Seymour Pond cottage is the best of old Cape Cod.

  • 5 of 5

The cottage is cozy. The location magical. You've got lots of rooms to accommodate whatever you'd like to do. The library is spectacular. Everything is clean and all the amenities work. It's a great location as well. Quiet on site but once back on the main road close to everything you'd want/need. Oh and the bike path is right there too. The owners are lovely and we always look forward to any return visit.

Fantastic rental

  • 5 of 5

We have been staying on the Cape for the past 10 years (both camping and renting) and I have to say that this is the best place so far. The pictures on the site do not do the house justice! It is an absolutely charming cottage, in a lovely setting in the woods, perfect for a relaxing and quiet vacation. The house itself was very clean and had everything you would ever need or want (enough books and games to last you days!). The beach is also very clean, quiet, and large, with a friendly family of swans that likes to come around and say hi on their evening swims. The bike trail is basically right around the corner and even though the road to the house is unpaved it is still manageable on a road bike. We will definitely be back again.
