Cabin in the woods - perfect location
Great location that felt like home. Great interior design, organic bath and cleaning products - spacious for our family. Wood burning stove was lovely; covered porch with fire pit a nice touch. Walkable to ski hill (less than 10 min), if you time your walk right, might even score a ride from the host (who is very kind)! Games/books/speaker on hand. Red Mountain is amazing!

Better than advertised
Quiet location close to the mountain though saying it is an easy walk to the mountain is a stretch. Highly recommended. Though it was not advertised as having a washer and dryer in the unit there is one.

Warm, Cozy & Eco friendly
This cabin is clearly a labor of love, creativity and sustainability. Paul's design combines warmth and comfort with an eclectic, modern aesthetic. A well furnished kitchen allows for quality meal preparation, while the beds, linens and towels envelop you in luxurious slumber and relaxation. Heated floors and a wood burning stove keep you warm and cozy no matter how low the mercury drops. Paul is very respectful of his guests' privacy--never intruding, yet always available to answer questions or offer suggestions via messaging. If you're lucky, you might get to meet him as he walks by. We would definitely stay in the Rusted Bear Cabin again.

Lovely, relaxing stay at Rusted Bear Cabin
We thoroughly enjoyed the solitude and the beauty of nature, as seen through every opening to the outside at this cabin located minutes from Red Mountain ski resort. The cabin itself offered everything we were looking for to ensure a comfortable and fine visit to the area. We appreciated the passive elements, thoughtful artistic touches, and construction of this home. We especially loved sitting outside on the porch and relaxing in nature.

Beautiful, quiet cabin in the woods!
My friends and I had a fantastic time- tea on the porch every morning, rides right from the cabin, a stocked kitchen to make delicious dinners followed by more peaceful sits on the porch and good sleeps in coziness. I can't want to come back! The Rusted Bear is a gem!
