It is 5 minutes’ walk from the centre of the attractive and popular Peak District town of Matlock and makes an exceptionally good base for exploring the whole of the Peak National Park. 3 miles to Gullivers Kingdom and Abrahams Heights accessed via the cable car over the stunning views of the gorge and Derwent River. Crich, the Tramway Museum and Dovedale are all nearby for an enjoyable day out. Historic places such as Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and Carsington Water are well worth a visit.
