About Tim and Cyndee Trahan

My wife Cyndee and our daughter Adeline (7 yrs) and son Julian (3 yrs) enjoy our little cottage on the bay very much. It has the most incredible sunsets. Sitting on the deck and watching the activities in the bay is one of our favorite things to do. We try not to rent out the cottage too much so if you want to book it do it as soon as possible. We look forward to your visit! Sincerely, Tim ,Cyndee,Adeline and Julian.

Why Tim and Cyndee Trahan chose Lake Champlain Valley

It is unique because it is in a very protective part of the bay ,has a private deck with southwest sunset views ,a mooring and a boat launch close by.

What makes this cottage unique

The views, the lake and being close to everthing.

Great Location, Handy to Everything

  • 5 of 5

The cottage is in an excellent location. It's on a main road and by car it's minutes to drive to Airport Park for the Colchester Causeway Bike Trail, or the trail as it heads south toward Burlington. It's also convenient to drive to Burlington, or north to St Albans, or the Islands of S. Hero, Grand Isle, and N. Hero.

Several excellent restaurants were nearby, notably Bayside Eats, and Bayside Bakery and Restaurant both just down the road. As to the cottage itself, it is small and as described. The bathroom is upstairs next to the kitchen and both bedrooms are downstairs as is the exit to the outside deck, and stairway down to the water. The beach was clean and no one using it.

All appliances worked, and it was a pleasure to have Netflix on the TV, rather than just the basic local channels. Tim the owner stopped by the day we arrived, and kindly answered all our questions, and was available should we need anything. The cottage isn't fancy, but has whatever you might need. When sitting on the deck it's very private due to the surrounding greenery. At sunset was the best, and most relaxing part of our stay. You feel you're in a world off to yourself, just you the water, and the sunset.

Views, views, views!

  • 5 of 5

What a perfect spot! We've stayed in many places around the lake, but this adorable cottage beats them all hands down for views and location. Every day was glorious from sunrise to sunset, even when it stormed. The views from inside upstairs, downstairs on the deck, and way down at the beach were rosey and tranquil.

This isn't a luxury rental - if you're into posh bathrooms or swanky kitchens, this isn't for you, but if you appreciate a well-loved, lived in, warm-hearted family cottage, and love to gaze at water, the Trahan's home will make you happy. Tim and Cyndee, and Tim's dad Jacque could not be easier to make arrangements with, and the closeness of great farm stands, cafes, parks, and bigger Burlington made our stay perfect. Thank you, Trahans!

Sunset Haven

First and foremost, thank you Tharans for working with my wife and I, as we were in transition. The cottage was a home away from home, the sunsets are beautiful. I would recommend this great little get away for the person or persons looking for tranquility and a escape from the city. All is quiet here at evenings shore.

Wow the most amazing sunsets are enjoyable from inside the cottage, the deck or the beach!

Sandy beach is not crowded at all / semi private and is a good swimming beach for all ages! Really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere! The bay provides for excellent boating as it is sheltered compared to the broad lake and there are three other beaches as well as diving / jumping cliffs ( from like 5ft to 50ft ) near by :) !

The cottage is super close to everything. When we wanted a break from the beach we found the area had much to offer. A park is just down the street and very well equipped with everything from swings to a skate board park ( kids loved it ). Down town Burlington is just a few minutes drive and is worth the visit.

The camp was clean, comfortable and well maintained. The owners, Tim and Cyndee, were a pleasure to deal with. We are looking forward to visiting again this year!

Spectacular owners !!!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I were looking forward to spending a relaxing, fun filled week, celebrating our 3yr Wedding anniversary at Tim and Cynthia Trahan's rental on Mallots bay.

Unfortunately before we had a chance to, the area of Lake Champlain, flooded. Their home was still safe and dry with no problems but we were not sure if the area would still be able to offer all the vacation touristy stuff we were looking forward to, since many roads, stores and buisness's were closed and damaged.

Our rental contract stated that they do not give refunds on deposits. This worried my husband and I greatly. Time to book elsewhere was growing short and loss of our deposit meant we would have difficulty affording another place.

I contacted Tim, not only did he understand and sympathize with us he did agree to refund us our deposit considering the difficult circumstances. He was very friendly, curtious and even mentioned that he would love us to visit again at another time.

I have heard bad stories of rental owners who under no circumstance refunds the deposit and are extremely rude.

This was not the case in any way, in fact just the opposite ! Because of the owners kindness and quick response to us we will, without a doubt, be visiting their perfect little getaway on the lake in the very near future. Thanks again Tim & Cynthia :))
