Our house is at the end of a quiet dead end street close to beaches and downtown Chatham. A great place for a family vacation or a romantic getaway!
A great private view into the salt marsh gives a feel of quiet and solitude, yet all the vacation desirables of beaches, restaurants, bike paths and shopping are close by. The house has 3 bedrooms, 2 new bathrooms and a great outdoor shower.
The house is in a quiet area of Chatham but not too far away to drive to the town. Everything you need is provided including beach chairs. We would definately stay here again and would recommend it to families and couples.
We had never visited the Cape before and found this house to be in a great location to visit all around. A lovely and clean house with a nice decking area and plenty of space for the children to play. The house is in a quiet area of Chatham but not too far away to drive to the town. Just returned from spending a week in this house and didn't want to leave. It was perfect for our family (which includes two teenagers). Plenty of room for everyone, 1 & 3/4 updated bathrooms (plus nice outdoor shower), in-home washer & dryer, and a view from the deck that will make you never want to leave -- it's absolutely beautiful. . Being at the end of the block ensured a quiet stay. And it was a short walk to Cockle Cove Beach. I hope we can return sometime in the future. Loved it.
It was a nice and quiet area. A good jog/run to the beach if you like exercising, otherwise a very short drive. However we did end up going to the Lighthouse Beach which is a little bit farther of a drive, but a bigger beach. House can hold a lot of people, decent size deck with a grill. Big living for watching a movie or playing games with family and friends. Both showers were good sizes, and the outdoor shower was an added plus. Overall a nice spot for family and friends to go to for a getaway.
We truly enjoyed our stay. The house is cozy and a close walk to the beach. It has a fantastic back porch which is great for relaxing in outside in the beautiful Cape weather. Definitely recommended.
We first stayed in this house in the summer of 2004 and have been coming back ever since. This cozy house is always great for our family vacations. This property was clean, well maintained and very comfortable for our family to stay in. Although the house is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood, there is still plenty to do with Cockle Cove beach, Short n Sweet ice cream shop, and the Cape Cod Rail Trail all within walking distance. We usually check out a free Chatham Anglers baseball game and stroll through the shops in downtown Chatham while we are there.
We visitied this deligthful Cape for the first time week of August 20-27. It was exactly as described - neat and clean, spacious with two fresh new bathrooms and a great deck. We will return next year.
The location is fabulous. Chatham is a beauiful town, picture perfect but with excellent shopping and restaurants too. We enjoyed golfing in Chatham, Kayaking in Orleans, Sightseeing at Provincetown and cycling on the bike trail. We cycled from the house to Wellfleet with a wonderful stop at the PB Pattiserie (simply wonderful). The walk to Cockle Cove is lovely and its a nice beach but the Lighthouse Beach in Chatham (just 3-4 miles) is absolutely wonderful and great for viewing the seals at play. Other beaches along the national seashore were a short drive and also magnificient (Marconi).
Communications with the owner were excellent.

The village of Chatham has innumerable local shops and restaurants that will draw you in.
