Much to my surprise, I suffered a stroke 2 years ago. My son is now college age and I will be an empty nester. As a family, my son and I loved to come to Hawaii. Quality family time.
I am now retired and devote full time to helping others enjoy the many pleasures of Hawaii. We hope you can be our guest soon.
Beach Holdings 2005 LLC purchased this house in 2005
I love the ocean. The minute I walked through the patio doors and saw the views, I knew I had to have the property....
The views are awesome and the water is crystal blue. The house is located on the sand and not on the street!! Laie is a great town and home to BYU and the PCC!
The beach is OUTFRONT....you can fall asleep to the ocean sounds. We are set back from the main highway and you do not get the traffic noise.
Walking across to the street to PCC and the best luau and show on the ENTIRE island...I know as I have been there several times.
You can walk to the university - BYU. Stroll to McDonalds for an ice cream cone of just sit and enjoy the beach.
Martha and Keld are the most wonderful hosts on the entire island. They have been in Hawaii for 28 years. If you are from Europe Keld would like to practice his Danish!
Wonderful time.....we will return again. The new kitchen is wonderful and beautiful. We especially liked the eat in granite island! The sounds of the ocean were wonderful to listen to. We had no problems and Martha and Keld were the perfect hosts. We'd love to return
We loved our time at this house. The beach was just steps away and the view was great. The house was clean and included all of the amenities needed to cook. Martha was a great hostess who answered any questions we had. The location was secluded enough that it was quiet, yet we were quickly able to get out and explore the island. The only drawback was that the stairs on our side of the property are used by the attached studio and an additional house (up to 7 guests) to the south of us. One afternoon the people in the house had many guests over and they traipsed back and forth across our lawn. Fortunately, this only happened once, but it does mean that your neighbors make or break the peaceful atmosphere. The owner, Victoria, likes to do exit interviews and said that this is not allowed in the contract and that Martha would have dealt with it if she'd known. Otherwise, we loved the place and would highly recommend it!
Before we made the trek out to Laie, I spoke with Martha on the phone and she was very helpful in guiding us to this gem in the country. She showed us around the property and told us about activities and shops in the area. After seeing the beautiful beach right below the property, we had to go down and explore. The fresh air and the clear water is something that you find in travel magazines. I have stayed in Tahiti and this beach would rival any of the ones you would find there. We ended our first day with a nice BBQ outside on the patio and just relaxed. So nice! Mahalo!
My wife and I decided to spend a belated 31st anniversary in Hawaii. We have had good experience with VRBO rentals previously and felt comfortable with choosing a rental for our stay this time.
When we arrived Martha met us and walked us through the property. She was very friendly and professional. She made us feel welcome and it felt as if we were home. She was there for any need and checked on us from time to time to make sure all was well. The property was clean and prepared for us when we arrived
The property is located right on the beach and we had a wonderful view our entire stay. Enjoying beautiful sunrises from the patio were an everyday occurrence. Retiring to bed to the sound of the surf each evening was peaceful and enjoyable. The property is small be well suited for a couple or small family. I was concerned about there being no air conditioning but with the breeze from offshore and the way the home is situated it was never an issue. And I am one that does not like too warm so that is saying something. :) The connecting home was occupied but it still felt like we had the location to ourselves. It was quiet and enjoyable
The location is ideal. We felt that the lower part of Oahu was way too crowded however we found that the property and area were wonderfully relaxed. The locals were very friendly. There were local spots to enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner. We were literally across the street from the Polynesian Center and were able to walk across the road to go to there. It was an enjoyable visit where we learned much about the islands. We enjoyed quiet time at the beaches that were found up and down the North Shore. We were constantly entertained by the multitude of wild chickens that are seen everywhere.
The only down side to the entire trip was the fact that we did not have enough time to see everything that we wanted to see. I guess that just gives us a ready excuse to return. We would definitely stay at this location again and would recommend it to our friends and family
Thank you for making our stay such an enjoyable experience.
Had a good time and Martha really made the effort to ensure we had a great stay. The location is fantasic if you are wanting to go over to the Polynesian cultural centre. The beach at the rear of the property is good for young children. Martha had some reef shoes that allowed us to explore the rocks. However one thing to note is that the beach is not usuable at high tide. The house is comfy for us - with 2 adults and children.
Lovely yard and view. Martha the property manager very accommodating and nice.
Beach is nice in low tide. Swimming and surfing a bit limited due to rocks.
This was a great location for us as we had a wedding just down the shore a bit.
Clean and kitchen had everything we needed. Lots of towels and water/beach toys.
We had a total of three properties for a family reunion from the 8th-15th. Everyone had a wonderful time. The rooms were AWESOME! Great views:) there is everything we needed at/close to the resort! Renting property has never been easier. Thank you for memories that will last a lifetime and for the aloha shown from all the staff from front desk to cabana set up everyone was extremely nice and professional!
Activities listed above are on a rental bases by a company near by. We do not rent out anything listed above There's a lot of surf shops on North Shore as well! You can rent surf boards, kaykas, etc.... There are sand toys Feel free to bring your snorkel gear / fins or buy them locally, very inexpensive, as well as the boogie boards.
