About Bobby

This is a picture of Mickey and I on the famous Hollywood Walk of Fame!

I've been a vacation rental home owner for several years now and have had thousands of excited travelers just like you. I dedicate myself to my homes because I want my guest's vacations to be as fun and memorable as possible. I understand many folks come from far away and are unfamiliar so, as the owner, I feel obligated to make you comfortable and give you peace of mind knowing you have any help you need during your stay. I'm not a faceless management company with a pile of homes full of surprise fees and charges. I'm a full time dedicated owner and the great price you get won't change. I respect your hard earned, heavily anticipated and well deserved vacations and make sure my beautiful homes are precisely what you expect when you arrive. You won't find a more cordial, knowledgeable and diligent owner than myself.

Despite being among the nicest vacation homes in the area, I am also committed to keeping my rates as affordable as possible. I am truly rewarded by seeing so many pleased guests and making so many great new friends!

We have just returned home from a two week stay in this lovely home...Ten of us in our party and not once did we get under anyone else's feet..

we are all "depressed" and would love to be back in what we consider a home from home.

When we first contacted Bobby to enquire about staying in his home we also mentioned our daughter had dreamed of marrying in LA ...That dream became reality thanks to Bobby!

There was no stress on our parts only the hoping that all we requested would come together on the big day and YES it did was truly wonderful. Bobby went out of his way for us and exceeded all our expectations....all this from a man we had never met before too !

We spent lazy morning's in the house and returned at night able to relax in the wonderful surroundings, switch off, rest and prepare for new adventures the following day.

The house was spacious and clean and had all the essentials to make our stay all that we had hoped for and some more ...

Like a previous guest we did meet a creature or two (grass hoppers) in the house but that we expected due to being out by the pool and doors left open...All we did was contain them and release them back outside..the younger ones in our party found it great fun..No big deal.

There were plentiful of everything .. towels, bedding, utensils .. you name it and it was there and if it wasn't I am sure it soon would be because Bobby goes the extra mile for his guests.

We had the most amazing time and long to be back. What we do know is when we do return to LA we know who to call and where to stay.

Owner's Response: It was a great pleasure having these nice folks in my home. They are a wonderful, close and very down to earth family. It was my honor and a joy to make their dream wedding on a sunny Southern California beach a reality. I dedicate myself to my homes because I want my guests vacations to be as memorable and fun as possible. I understand many visitors come from far away and don't know the area so, as the owner, I feel obligated to make them comfortable and give them piece of mind that they have any help they need. My rates are very reasonable so it's not all about the money. My biggest reward is making so many great new friends like these folks. I would welcome them back at any time in the future and love to have any of their friends from across the pond.

Great Vacation Home.....home away from home.

  • 5 of 5

Very comfortable, very clean, accessible to all the attractions. We felt very much at home and the kids loved the pool. The ambiance at night was so relaxing in the hot tub. What a wonderful change from a crowded hotel room.

We had a great time and made some wonderful family memories.

Bobby was very friendly and helpful with directions and even let us use his

GPS to get around. We are from Canada and had no clue where anything was......we totally enjoyed our stay and will let our friends know of this great home. Thankyou Bobby for letting us feel like it was our place for the couple of weeks we were there. I would certainly recommend this home to any and all vacationers!!! The beds were comfortable, the yards were kept immaculate and I can't say enough how wonderful a time we had in this relaxing home. Also was a nice quiet and clean neighbourhood with lots of shopping and restaurants nearby....Bobby was very friendly with us and he didn't seem to mind our 8 kids, the kids were very well accepted and he also made them feel at home.

Owner's Response: It was a pleasure having Louise and her "crew" in my home. They are a wonderful family and took full advantage of their time in sunny Southern California and all the attractions and activities here. They were nice enough to leave their unused park passes for Sea World and Wild Aninmal Park in San Deigo and the next guests were able to use them. I look forward to having them back in the future. Truly enjoyed our stay!!

  • 5 of 5

My family recently visited LA for a family reunion. We stayed at Bobby's home. It accommodated all 10 of us comfortably. the home was clean and inviting. The décor really made you feel you were in a tropical paradise. Also loved the Disney décor mixed in. The pool was nice and the weather was perfect to sit around and have fun swimming. There were towels for us to use and loved the convenience of having a washer and dryer available. We had two small grandchildren with us. We loved that there were a large amount of toys for the kids to play with, and they had a blast playing! The house is near grocery stores, shopping and restaurants. Everything is close and convenient. Bobby is a very conscientious and attentive owner. If there is anything you need, he is just a phone call away. Not having to worry about lodging made our vacation so much more enjoyable and fun. Thanks Bobby!

Dirty, disappointing and shabby.

  • 1 of 5

When we first arrived at the property late at night after a long flight from the UK we were very disappointed to say the least. Floors and surfaces were filthy and sticky and many of the fixtures, fittings and furniture was broken. The house was shabby and dirty with an unpleasant odour and it did not take us long to realise that this house was not the one advertised in the photographs when we made our booking.

We contacted Bobby right away and voiced our displeasure and he said that he had another property close by that he could move us into in two days time. When we got to the other property we could see that this was the one shown in the photographs that we believed we had booked in the first place. When we questioned why we were not given the advertised property, Bobby explained that he has two “identical” properties. He may have two properties but they are not identical.

The second property was an improvement on the first, but still a huge disappointment and certainly not what we expected. While it was an improvement, the second property was still shabby and in need of a top-to-bottom clean. We had to wash all kitchen equipment before it could be used and the kitchen cupboards held a collection of broken items.

The dining room table had 4 mismatched chairs that were far too low for the table, not great for a villa that is supposed to sleep 18.

The garage “games room” was a sad collection of broken toys, hardware and general junk with a pool table that sloped at such an angle it was impossible to use. If we had small children, we would not have let them play in this room.

There were no sun loungers and the pool turned green within a few days, so we never used it.

The air con was not sufficient to cool the house, especially when coupled with the restriction to 74 degrees. We had to rely on the ceiling fans, but they did not work properly.

We arrived back from the parks one evening to find the rear door to the pool area wide open. We were very worried and contacted Bobby to report this and he said that he had been around to attend to things (without our knowledge) and must have left it open. This did not fill us with confidence and left us worried for the rest of the stay.

In Bobby’s defence, he was quick to respond when we contacted him and he really does seem to want people to enjoy his villas. However, the villas are well past their prime and both in need of a major overhaul. We would not recommend them.

At least the location was good.

Bobby is a very accommodating host - friendly, easy-going, and responsive to concerns raised. Ask him to fix the dryer - he fixes it; ask him why the fridge is not working - he attends to it. My concern is that such questions should not be necessary if the house has been adequately prepared. But why would I use a review title of "Misleading"? Of 20 photos in the advertising, only 4 resemble the house we stayed in. One of the bedroom photos resembles the one we stayed in, but the wall hangings were not evident; there was a pool table, but it was not ready for play, and the Fussboll table was in need of repair. The games room was the garage, which doubled as a storage facility for a wide variety of miscellaneous materials and old furniture. Our infant children enjoyed playing there, but there was nothing to entice an adult to want to spend time there. There was a swimming pool, but the deck was cluttered and was not an inviting pool that attracted anyone. The hot tub, with tattered lid, was steaming, but we didn't try it.

The house that is pictured in the Ad may sleep 18, but the house we were in would not. We were 13, and it worked only because one couple didn't mind sleeping separately in the lower bunk, with another family member's young child sleeping in their room.

A less-than-sturdy table occupied the dining room, which had a bench on one side, two wooden chairs at each end and two chairs on the other side that should have been rotting in a landfill. One of the chairs collapsed when my wife sat on it (no, she is not overweight), and the other mysteriously disappeared on our second day at Disneyland. I suspect Bobby saw the broken pieces of the chair in the garage and removed the other. He never did discuss this with me, even after I sent him a text feedback after we left. Other than that, a 3-person couch in the living room is all the furniture that existed. We came to enjoy Disneyland; the house provided us with a dry place to sleep and a place to prepare our food. I would certainly not recommend this house to anyone wishing to have a comfortable holiday in Los Angeles. There is better value to be found in hotels with small kitchenettes - even at a slightly higher cost. I suspect Bobby maintains two houses that have a close resemblance to the other, as some of the photos bear a close resemblance to the house we stayed in - particularly decor and wall art.
