What a wonderful place to stay! Where to begin?? Well firstly the apartment looks gorgeous, the moment you open the door....wow! Everything was provided, Dahlia even left a lovely notebook so that we could record our memories, so kind. Some food had even been thoughtfully provided. The apartment was spotlessly clean, and the beds very comfortable. Just across the road ( literally ) there is a supermarket and a pharmacy. Public transport is only a very short stroll away. In all honesty I have to say that we would definately stay there again, without hesitation. Dahlia was extremely easy to deal with, I even called her on the way to the apartment to get directions for the taxi driver!! And as a nice touch , Mervin called and made sure we were happy with everything. An overall fabulous experience!!!
This apartment was really nicely. Pros: Great location, beautiful views, very convenient grocery across the street. Fabulous kitchen (consider getting non stick pans) Cons: The furniture looked good, but was really uncomfortable. We have two tall teenagers and the beds were rather short for them. All 3 beds were uncomfortable to sleep in and the living room furniture (while attractive), was not comfortable to sit on. Hideaway bed/couch, too short and uncomfortable for an extra bed. Stools at counter (only dining area), were really high, wobbly and too hard to sit at counter to eat. We found ourselves all gathered around the coffee table to eat our meals. Subway is 4+ blocks away. On a hot day, not a fun walk. We were not allowed to use the pool and roof deck not accessible. That should have be adjusted in the description while the building is under construction. This location would be fine for a shorter family of 4 with 2 small kids.
As a family of 5 (3 teenagers) a hotel room/suite is never enough space. With this rental we had a bed for everyone and 2 bathrooms to help with getting everyone ready for each full day in the city.
Dahlia is professional and very accommodating. I would stay here again, and definitely recommend it to friends and family.
The view from Long Island City is better than the view when staying in Manhattan. The subway station is only a couple blocks away and being one stop from Grand Central provides access to any destination in Manhattan.
Staying in an area where New Yorkers live as opposed to staying in an area where tourists travel is a big plus. It was very calming to arrive back into Long Island City after the crowds and stresses of Manhattan.
My criteria when searching for a property to stay was an outside pool and outdoor space which on the description this property had for which i was prepared to pay the premium price for.After our first day my family and i went up to use the pool and had to face the humiliation of being ejected from the pool area and were advised it was only for residents use and we needed identification of owning the property.The outside roofspace was under construction and was out of use, a small area of six seats had been set aside by the pool and due to the amount of people in the apartments these were never available.On contacting the owner about these issues i was advised there was a park across the road if i wanted outdoor space.
I feel this property has been falsley described and the pool facility should be taken off and rooftop space removed while under construction and pricing altered accordingly.
These issues aside the property is immaculate and in a great location
Beautifully presented, spacious and well equipped apartment.
With 3 kids and 2 adults this apartment still gave us space and a calm comfortable base for exploring NYC. We enjoyed exploring the great and varied local dining. There were plenty of local grocery stores to supply the comprehensive kitchen, including an amazing organic supermarket just over the road. Transport links were great, one stop on the subway to mid town Manhattan. The local station being 5 mins walk with kids. We explored the waterfront parks just outside the building, enjoying a drink at the cafe there overlooking the city. This is also the spot to get the East River ferry to explore the riverfront.
Finally there is a cool rooftop swimming pool looking out across the river to the Empire State Building and the UN building.
Dahlia, the owner, was very helpful, always responding quickly to any queries we had regarding the accommodation.

Location: We are a 'Neighborhood' featuring 'Whole-Foods- like' Food Market, Hair/Body Spa, Pharmacy (Dwayne Reed). ZAGAT Rated Restaurants. Just 5 minutes to the #7 train : 4 minutes to Grand Central Station, 8 minutes to Times Square ( Theater District.)
