Blue Mountain Beach Condo
We stayed here for a week in March 2024. The communication with the property managers was very thorough. We texted them to see if we could check in three hours early because we were having car trouble and wanted to try to to unpack our car and take it to the dealer. They replied promptly and were able to let us in by 2pm which was great.
When we got to the condo we were really disappointed by the moldy, musty smell when we walked in. My eyes immediately started to burn and we started coughing. There was a dehumidifier running of which we emptied twice a day. We didn’t sleep well the first night because of the smell. It got better after about two days of running the dehumidifier constantly.
When we got home all of our clothes and luggage smelled like the mold. The baseboards under the dishwasher and kitchen sink were rotten so we wondered if that might be the source of the mold.
The bedroom was really small and hard to get around even though we are little people. The shower/bathtub was really small as well.
Other than that, the condo was decorated nice, had clean bed linens, a well stocked kitchen and the location was wonderful.
I didn’t see any other reviews addressing the musty smell so maybe this is a new issue but we won’t rent here again because of it.
