I rented the cottage for a month and arrived when the sea was quite stormy so the closeness to the sea took a bit of getting used to. The cottage has a lovely enclosed verandah and a nice table where we ate every night we ate in. In the mornings we took tea down by the sea sitting on the bench that Manfred has designed. The house is equipped with the basics and when i suggested better, newer, and necessary tools, things etc.....Manfred was quick to bring them over. He provided us with new frying pans, fixed the oven and even brought over speakers as it was difficult to hear the TV with the sea noise. We asked for some basics to be left for our arrival and Stacey arranged that well. Stacey was very helpful and gave me great tips about night life and was there if we needed anything fixed.
There are lovely restaurants in the area and we tried Il Tempio for friday happy hour and dinner and also had sundowners at the Cliff Restaurant Lounge. We weren't so pleased with Daphnes, but thought that Just Grilling was good value for money and the food was pretty good. The beach in frint of the house is very rocky and impossible to go in right in front of the house which was not a problem as a short walk 150 metres to the right is a lovely beach. You cannot rent beach chairs anywhere close though and Manfred promised to get better lounge chairs for the house as there were none. Some of the time i was in the house alone, after my husband, friends and children had left and i felt perfectly safe.
