Sonoma House Rental Photos and Description

House, 3 Bedrooms, 1.5 Baths, (Sleeps 6)

Fall is amazing in Sonoma...come enjoy harvest and the turning leaves of the vines. Or book for the holidays and winter: Sonoma is beautiful in the winter, and the wineries are always pouring (and not crowded!). Our cozy home is conveniently located to all the wineries, Glen Ellen and 10 minute drive to Sonoma square.

SPRING AND SUMMER: Come enjoy the outdoor fun: pool, trampoline, bocce and horseshoes on a beach plage next to the pool, zipline, ping pong. Beautiful outdoor living spaces define this 3 bedroom, 1-1/2 bath home in the heart of Sonoma Valley. The contemporary, sleek indoor and outdoor décor, location and amenities at Loma Vista make this an easy and relaxing retreat for your wine country vacation.

This newly remodeled vacation home features a light, open living/dining/ kitchen space with wood floors, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, including gas range, and easily accessible washer & dryer. Designer accents and touches abound. The three bedrooms are spacious and sleek, with California King in the master, queen in the 2nd bedroom and full/twin bunk bed in the 3rd. The attached 1-1/2 bathrooms make it convenient for everyone to access either from the hallway or master bedroom.

The outdoor living spaces at Loma Vista offer the best of wine country living. Situated on 1 acre of flat, fenced, private space, you can enjoy walking our gentlemen's vineyard of Syrah and Cabernet grapes, or gather your nightly dinner menu from what our vegetable and herb garden has to offer you that day. Please note that the garden is seasonal, and should be available in June, July and August, dependent on weather.

Step out the French doors to the large deck and backyard with new propane BBQ and beautiful dining and lounging furniture, heat lamp, outdoor surround sound system and atmospheric lighting draped through the trees. The large pool* is inviting on warm wine country days, as is the hammock strung up between two of the large oaks on the property. Enjoy a game of bocce, horseshoes or ping pong as well.

*Please note that pool is not in use from October-April 30, and that the bocce court may not be available if there has been rain. Most outdoor furniture is put away from November-April 30 so that it will not be ruined by the weather. We provide 4 outdoor chairs and ottomans, and two small tables year round.

About Heidi Gregory

We are a family of four: two business owners who live in SF with our children, 13 and 10. We love to travel, surf, cook and play. Sonoma is only 50 minutes from our home, so we try to use the house as much as we can, especially in the summer and fall. But, we don't mind sharing it with you if you promise to take care of it and enjoy it like we do!

What makes this house unique

We love having a place where our kids have the ability to run outside, swim and play whenever they want. We enjoy entertaining at our Sonoma home, using the local wines and foods as the basis for each of our gatherings. We have had many ping pong, horseshoe and bocce tournaments among our friends, so grab some bottles of Sonoma wine and get ready to play and relax!

We have a stainless steel BBQ grill that has provided many beautiful meals under the gorgeous oak tree where we enjoy outdoor dining day and night. With a view of the pool, you can keep an eye on the kids while enjoying your glass of wine in the shade.

Our indoor space has been furnished with minimalist, yet very comfortable furniture. Many friends have commented that the beds were so comfortable that it was the best night's sleep they had had in a long time. Though we only have one full bath, there has never been an issue of space since we have the half bath. Both are easily accessible for all guests. Overall the indoor space is just perfect for what you need.

We hope that you will enjoy our home because, truly, it is our home away from home.

Wonderful spot in Sonoma

  • 4 of 5

We had a wonderful stay at Loma Vista in October. The house is roomy and well-stocked for renters. The outside grounds are lovely and wished we had spent more time at the house to enjoy them. Note that that there is only one full bathroom in the house, but there is a separated toilet and sink with a sliding door to full bath that can be accessed from main hallway. We would definitely return.

Had a great time in Sonoma

  • 5 of 5

We rented this lovely house in Sonoma for a work retreat. The house was very comfortable and we loved being able to do our business outside under the oaks trees. Made the work much easier. We didn't get a chance to play bocce but did get to swim in the pool. Heidi was very helpful and gave us many recommendations for places to eat and shop for food. We had a super time.

Everything about this vacation, from the owners to the property, was just fabulous. The home is perfectly comfortable with a well equipped kitchen and grill for meals in. Sonoma square is just minutes away for wine tasting and great restaurants. The best part of our stay was all the activities on the property- the pool, bocce ball, badminton, trampoline, horse shoes, and ping pong. You may never even have to leave the property if you come well supplied with groceries. The owners are gracious and always available. We will definitely be returning!

Comfortable, Livable Home & Great Pool Area

  • 4 of 5

If you are looking for a really nice house in a great area of Sonoma with a fantastic pool, the Loma Vista house is top notch. Our experience at the house was a very good one. It was very comfortable -- lived-in but not dirty. It felt like we were staying in a good friend's home for the week, and not a rental.

The pool area was gorgeous. I think the landscaping was all California-indigenous plants and it was really well put-together and high-end without being snooty or unapproachable. There are grape vines on the property to give it great ambiance as well. There's actually a lot of land, though some you won't venture on to. (The ping pong table, bocce ball court and horseshoes were nice to have too.) The pool itself is the home's best asset, and on a hot summer's day, there was no need to leave the premises. There is a load of comfortable patio furniture, an umbrella and trees for cover. The stereo plays outdoors and that was a great perk. The electric pool cover helps keep the pool at the right temperature, and it's shallow enough that little kids can play. We were in the pool almost all day, every day of our stay.

The location of the house makes it easy to get to, and it will only be short drives to places you'd go in and around Sonoma.

There were, however, a few small drawbacks to the house. For one, there is no A/C. In summer, this can be tough. All the main rooms had fans and that was good, but the kids room had no overhead fan and they complained a bit of being hot at night. Also, there is only one bathroom, with a half bath attached to this main bathroom. This wasn't a big deal with only 4 of us but if you are 7 people, you may not like having only one shower. Finally, the living room furniture wasn't terribly comfortable and it made late night hangouts a little shorter.

Overall, we felt that the home was approachable and very comfortable, as if our friends had invited us to stay for the week, and that made for a very good overall experience.

Great location, Great house

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at Loma Vista was delightful. The house was pristine upon our arrival and we made ourselves at home quickly. The proximity to both the town as well as to the nearby wineries was excellent. Great kitchen, great deck/pool/bbq area.

Added bonus: Great bird watching

Beautiful property

  • 5 of 5

My 5 girlfriends and I rented Loma Vista for my friends 50th birthday in Sonoma. What an amazing property. The home is very comfortable and the kitchen was well enough stocked that we were able to cook beautiful breakfasts and a dinner at home. The yard is absolutely amazing with a small vineyard and garden (that we used some peppers and tomotoes from!). The location is close to Sonoma Square and centrally located for the wineries. The owners were great to work with and very helpful with any questions or concerns. I will definitely be back!!

Expansive beautifully furnished outdoor living area with bocce court, horseshoes and plenty of space around the pool; heat lamp; small vineyard; family vegetable garden. We maintain natural grounds, so as the summer season progresses, our yard will not be as green as springtime. We choose to do this to conserve water and energy.
