Fantastic Summertown apartment, perfect for business, pleasure or academia
What's great about this refined apartment is that it's ideally located, close to the centre of Summertown, while being in a very quiet development - set back 60 meters from the main road (Woodstock Road).
Inside, the apartment is recently decorated and recarpeted, with a tasteful wooden floor in the spacious and bright sitting/dining room. The sitting room is bright, with south facing french windows. The room has a dining table for 6 people, 2 sofas, a coffee table and a dresser unit with lots of storage space. If you feel like chilling out after a day of exploring, there is a new 40" Sony TV with Netflix and Amazon Instant Video subscriptions and a Blu-ray player. Music is also taken care of with a bluetooth enabled mini hi-fi.
The kitchen is well equipped with a dishwasher, washing/drying machine, fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster, filter coffee machine and electric oven and hobs. There is also a good selection of plates, crockery, pots and pans.
The bedrooms all overlook the Summertown tennis courts (available for your use - see Neighbourhood description), which is a wonderful sight to wake up to. The master bedroom contains a double bed and fitted wardrobe. A second double room also has a double bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers. The third bedroom has a comfortable single bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers.
Being on the first floor (not ground level), the apartment feels very secure and also benefits from an intercom door entry system.
Outside, the apartment sits in a quiet, pleasant development just off Woodstock Road in the leafy and stylish Oxford suburb of Summertown. The development is surrounded by attractive well maintained gardens with benches and green areas to enjoy the outside space. Adjacent to the development is an excellent children's play area, basketball and tennis courts.
All the amenities you could need are nearby, with Summertown's fashionable bars and restaurants along with grocery stores and other local essentials less than 5 minutes walk from the apartment.

Ideal location for Oxford and the Cotswolds
Very clean apartment, would recommend and we would use again.
Thoroughly recommended! The apartment was comfortable, spotless, and extremely well equipped. There was tea, coffee, olive oil, salt and pepper, dishwasher and laundry tabs, plentiful pans and utensils, loads of toilet roll, leaflets on the local area, alarm clocks, laundry baskets, a high chair and travel cot for our baby, an extension cable, even sellotape - everything you could possibly need! The location was also perfect, in a pleasant and quiet close set back from the Woodstock road, an easy 10 minute bus ride into Oxford town centre with regular buses and the stop only a minute or two away. Check-in and out was easy, with a lock box and code to get the keys, so no need to coordinate with the owner, who was nonetheless very helpful with a couple of minor queries. Next time I’m in Oxford I’ll definitely stay here again!
perfect place for a visit to Oxford
The apartment had everything that was promised and was well-equipped and maintained. Contacts with the owner were easy and Danny offered a lot of helpful advice and information. We enjoyed the shops and restaurants nearby and the bus stop at the corner was very convenient for the trips into the city centre. And for keen walkers the path along Oxford Canal is a pleasure - even in October.
We have already told our friends about this place and will come back, if only to profit from Danny's bottle of wine which was waiting for us on arrival. Thanks again.
This Oxford apartment was clean, well-appointed and in close proximity to the university. Everything about our experience - from booking to checkout - was well organized and easy. We will not look elsewhere for lodging if we return to Oxford in the future.
Holiday stay in Oxford Oct 2017.
Accommodation as described, even had some small extras we hadn’t expected I.e cafetière, herbs, oils a home from home really & a lovely gift from the owners of a bottle of red wine. The bus stop was only 2 min walk & the buses ran every 15mins, ideal location for seeing the sights and not spending too much time every day travelling. Would have no hesitation in recommending & staying there again if in Oxford.

Oxford is a fantastically vibrant and exciting modern city characterised as much by the diversity of its inhabitants, institutions and industries as it is by the sheer wealth of history that exists here. Occupying a setting steeped in history, Oxford offers everything from world class museums, galleries and gardens to fabulous bars, restaurants and shops. Not forgetting of course, the world's second oldest university in continuous operation - since 1096, ranked 5th globally - Oxford University. The nearest Oxford College, St Hugh's, is less than 1 mile south of the apartment. The apartment is situated in the leafy North Oxford suburb of Summertown. Summertown is a attractive, affluent and forward thinking area a short bus (or cycle) ride north of the city centre. The neighbourhood is well served by a fine selection of coffee shops, restaurants, bars and boutique shops. South Parade - Summertown's premier street with a great selection of restaurants - is less than 500 meters from your front door! The apartment overlooks Alexandra Park tennis courts where you can play anytime for just £6 per court per hour simply by booking online. In addition to 6 all weather courts, the facility also offers the opportunity to prepare for next year's Wimbledon with 5 grass courts!
