On the sought after 'Bayside' of the North Fork In the heart of the North Fork Wine Country and beautiful beaches we have a 1840's home with a furnished attached cottage available for weekend's, week or month rental. Apartment has small eat in kitchen, bath, living room and 2 bedrooms. One bedroom has a queen size bed the other a full size bed. Separate entrance with own lawn / patio area with lawn chairs. Comfortably furnished with Sat TV (Including HBO). Both bedrooms have window AC units. Beautiful property with century old lilacs and gorgeous perennial gardens.

Great Location!

We received a warm welcome from Buddy, the resident dog. Perfect accommodations for a couple or small family. Nice residential neighborhood. Close to wineries and shops. Property was clean and well maintained. Bathroom could use some updating, but was functional. Small nicely updated kitchen. Wireless internet service was a great amenity. The caretaker was friendly and attentive to our needs. The owner was very professional and was quick to answer questions and return our security deposit. Be sure to stop by Founders Tavern in Southold. Braun Seafood in Cutchogue is a great place for takeout!

Relaxing and Comfortable Stay in a Beautiful Place

Mark and Mona were extremely gracious and welcoming. Their home is beautiful and our upstairs apartment was very comfortable and sweet. We took advantage of the beautiful location by walking and biking to the beach and town. The kids loved making smores at the fire bit and chasing fireflies at the end of the day. Thank you Mark and Mona!

Lovely apartment, area and hosts

My girlfriend and I stayed here for a long weekend. We had a lovely time after boring bikes and exploring the area. Its close to the observatory, Sophies Rest (for a local drink and food) and lots of wineries. We walked/biked everywhere which was nice. We tried biking to Greenport which isn't a nice bike ride so would recommend taking the train and then the ferry to Shelter to bike instead.

Nice to have cable TV to relax to when we got home.

Mona and Mark were lovely and helpful throughout. We hope to stay here again soon!

Wunderful hosts

After a few days in NYC we wanted to spend some time on Long Island before heading back to Germany. And we can say that this cottage was just the place to be on this fabulous island. The appartment was clean and tidy. It had everything we needed for our 5 day stay. The two bedrooms were separated from eachother and at the opposite ends of the appartment. This was perfect as our kids (2 and 4 years old) could be for themselves and especially around "bedtime" we would sit outside still knowing what was going on.

But what really made this stay worth 5 stars was the tremendous hospitality of the owners, Mark and Mona. They did not treat us as guests but rather than "neighbors". Before we even got to the point to ask for anyhting they offered their help on everthing we would possibly need. More than once did we benefit from their experience as locals. No guide in the world would have helped us more to see and enjoy this island. And by the way, they are really nice and warmhearted peoples sharing their life with their guests without being to pushy. We felt like home at this cottage and we would certainly stay at their place on our next visit to Long Island!
