This is the perfect cottage to visit for a family seaside vacation! It has absolutely everything we needed to relax and enjoy our stay. The beach really is right down the street! The cottage is cozy and homey and the owners are friendly and very responsive. This house is even better than I could have hoped! We are definitely coming back next year and hope to make it our regular beach vacation spot for years to come!!!!!
I just got back from renting this house for a week. It was clean, close to the beach and just as described above.
I loved having the outdoor shower after coming home from the beach with two small children. They had a beach cart and 2 beach chairs which was a plus since I didn't have to bring mine from home.
We would love to rent the place again next year.
The only down side is we found the house a little warm. There are no ceiling fans and only 2 small fans in the bedrooms. So I would sugest bringing a few with you if you rent.
" We spent 2 wonderful weeks in RI and the property we stayed at was a definite plus. The house is exactly the way it is described online as well as the location to Scarborough Beach. You can actually see the ocean from the front of the property! The house can easily accommodate 4-6 people.
Generally speaking, the neighborhood was very quiet. However, this is not an isolated house by any means, so if that's what you're looking for this is not it.
The property was clean and well maintained, and the owner made herself available in case of problems. When a beach chair didn't work properly we asked for a replacement and the owner went out and bought 2 new beach chairs!
We loved being so close to the ocean as well as many other places in RI for sightseeing and hiking.
Because our stay was great, I hesitate to even mention any negatives, which were few. Online, under general amenities, an alarm clock, paper towels and toilet paper are mentioned. There was no alarm clock and only a few days worth of toilet paper and paper towels. Since we were staying 2 weeks it would have been nice to have had these things provided. However, these minor inconveniences certainly did not put a damper on our stay.
We would highly recommend this property to a friend or family member. "
