North Beach Haven House Rental Photos and Description

Original 1951 Cape Cod- 4 BRs, 2 B, sleeps 10; Can't get closer to the beach!

FRIDAY TO FRIDAY Rental - BEACH FRONT

The sights and sounds of the Atlantic Ocean are with you every minute of the day and night. This wonderful Cape is on quiet family street in Haven Beach, Long Beach Island, 2 miles N of the town of Beach Haven. There are spectacular panoramic views from rooms on the 2nd floor and deck. 1st floor views are obstructed by the dune that saved us from the ravages of Sandy and the new dune from last years LBI beach replenishment.

ThIs third year after Hurricane Sandy and we continue feel very fortunate to be among the very few beach front homes that still remains just as it was 60 years ago. Our 1951 beach house is pine paneled and has a wonderful built in charm. Warm and cozy- this house is special. Please view photos.

FIRST FLOOR:

Living Room, Dining Room, a fully equipped kitchen, a back porch, laundry, 2 BRs- one ocean side with new queen bed, the other a comfortable bunk room with good mattresses and a 1st floor full bath. AC units are in all bedrooms, stored in each closet but rarely used.

Our new deck is the length of the house, on the ocean side, has a new double sliding door from the LR and literally doubles the size of the living space on the 1st floor. Offering comfortable seating and a large dining table. Another wonderful place to enjoy the ocean breezes and sounds. Great too, for sunbathing, baby pools or for entertaining anytime.

SECOND FLOOR:

Master Bedroom with raised open ceiling, an upstairs Den overlooking ocean that seats 8 comfortably, twin beds in alcove and a 2nd floor full bath, all with outstanding views and breezes. There is a 2nd floor deck off the Den with table/umbrella and 2 lounge chairs. It's THE place to be for morning coffee, afternoon sunning or evening glass of wine watching the sun set over the bay.

Two side yards, one for drying beach towels and clothes, the other is good for Corn Hole matches!Three flat screen TVs, wireless Internet access, a great new outside 'in the sun' shower- best after the beach! A new dishwasher, dryer, new ceiling fans, new refrigerator and gas grill on far end-of front deck. Everything you need and more.

WHAT IS THE COST OF A FIVE STAR HOTEL ON THE BEACH- PER NIGHT?

Compare that price to this original, 1951 fully equipped, 'step back in time', wonderful beach house, only 150 yards from the ocean!

$6500 per week.

Last Note!

Life Guards are in front of our house. A sand bar too.

We provide 6 beach badges and two senior badges, many beach chairs, large cart to take to beach and various beach 'toys' for your use.

If interested in Fall or Spring weekends?

Available at $700 per night, minimum 3 nights and the price is non-negotiable.

Additionally, no college/high school age people may rent.

About Lindsay Thayer Stroker

The Stroker family has rented on LBI in the same family neighborhood for 60 years. Jack and I purchased this charming beach cottage 15 years ago.

Now, we have two grand babies and hope they love it as much as we do!

Lindsay Thayer Stroker purchased this house in 2000

Why Lindsay Thayer Stroker chose Long Beach Island

To our knowledge there is no other original, (updated with very comfortable furniture and great mattresses) 'beach front' property available on the island.

This truly is a step back into the 50's on LBI.

Great Family Vacation

  • 5 of 5

You cant be any closer to the beach. The owners were a pleasure to work with and we couldnt be any happier renting from them. The views are as advertised and the outdoor space is perfect. Its a very kid friendly block with icecream trucks galore. We had 2 small families and the children were 1-3 in age. The house is one of the last orginals on the island which adds to its tremendous charaacter. Airconditioning, top line appliances and even a Kuerig!! We look forward to returning next summer.

Fabulous Family Vacation

  • 5 of 5

We just got back from a fabulous week in LBI. The house was exactly as described and perfectly accommodated 8 adults and 2 little ones. The close proximity to the beach allowed us to spend the mornings sipping coffee with our feet in the sand. Not having to load and unload the car to get to the beach was wonderful. Just a quick walk over the dune and we were there. A beach cart or wagon would have made carrying chairs, coolers etc. a little easier but we definitely managed. We spent everyday at the beach and every evening listening to the ocean from the patio and upper deck. Lindsay went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. We would definitely recommend this house and hope we can do it again next year!

Owner's Response: Tom & Rachel, Thanks for your wonderful recommendation. We're so happy to know your vacation week was great and exactly what we hope for everyone! Count on a beach cart there next year. Though...maybe Mother Nature will take back the new man made dune so a cart isn't needed?! Again, thank you. Lindsay

Long Beach Island is throw back to the 1950's...not the typical 'Jersey Shore' as there are no fast food chains, no high rises, no spring-breakers. It's a 'Family Island' with emphasis on BEACH fun but with loads of family entertainment; Bay Village, a family amusement park, water slide park, shopping, Long Beach Island Museum, fishing, crabbing, bike riding, boating, para sailing, surf shops, boutiques, art festivals and several antique shops ...and a safe haven away from everyday life. There are great restaurants with a selection of Italian, French, Japanese and many terrific seafood restaurants. Kids are welcome everywhere. A couple blocks away is a popular LBI watering hole, Nardi's, serving breakfast, lunch and light diners (take out too!) and has great 70's & 80's live music every weekend.

Being ON the ocean, 100 yards away out the front door, in a comfortable and charming home ....makes your visit very special, very memorable.

Notes:
As former renters for over 30 years we now have our own home to offer people as their vacation home! Historically on LBI, tenants bring their own bed linens, towels, and food supplies. Upon your arrival there will be basic supplies (spices, tp, paper towels, etc.) that allows you to get through the first couple days. (If linens are needed they are available at a minimum charge.) It is very unusual to have an original 1950's home on the ocean. Most older, ocean front homes have been torn down and replaced by very large homes, with very high rental rates-if they rent. This is a charming, pine paneled 1951 Cape with very comfortable furnishings, definitely, one of a kind! It is perfect for a fun and memorable family vacation. We have a house caretaker on hand to fix any problems that may occur. We have cable TV and high speed wireless internet.
