Guestbook comments from the manager

The house is a perfect place to relax and share time with family. Everything that we could possibly wish for is here and the access to Napa and the lovely region is perfect. We enjoyed a day on the wine train, visits to some small wineries, and side trips to Oakland and San Francisco. What a wonderful week and always nice to return to this gorgeous home.

Beautiful home and property!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at the Stoddard House for a long weekend girl's trip. The check in process was incredibly easy and the owner was quick to respond to questions. The house itself was amazing; spacious rooms, a full kitchen, and absolutely charming. The grounds were in full bloom with multiple sitting areas to relax with a glass of wine. The location is perfect, you can walk or take a short drive to everything. All around a great stay. We will be back!

Best Friends Napa Trip

Wow! What an impression when you first drive up! A beautifully maintained historic home with a lovely yard. You can feel the history when you walk in. It initially has that "older house" smell, but it's not even noticed once you're inside. We loved the layout with a center hallway and rooms on both sides. The beds and pillows were very comfy. There is a smaller, older bathroom, but nice shower head and a linen closet for 4 women to stash all our "bathroom stuff"! The kitchen seemed very functional. We didn't eat at the house except for breakfast, so all we needed was a coffee pot and a refrigerator. The breakfast nook was perfect for mornings - coffee, light breakfast, visiting and planning our days. We didn't spend much time outside, but did enjoy two lemons from a tree in the yard. At night we gathered in the lovely sitting room to discuss the days and ponder what to do the next day. Easily within walking distance to great food and Starbucks! Highly recommend and would return with friends or family anytime!

Stoddard House

  • 5 of 5

Charming get-away for our stay in Napa. Within walking distance to restaurants and wine tasting, exactly what we had hoped for. Though the pictures On line are nice, they are not as lovely as the home is in person. First street is busy during the day but we heard nothing at night and the bed made sleeping even easier. In addition, the landscaping is beautiful!

cute place in an excellent location

My family and I stayed here over Thanksgiving holiday. Everything went smoothly. Spacious and well appointed. Close to downtown Napan and the Outlet Shopping Center. Only complaint is the linens and towels are worn out and should be replaced.

Lovely home in Napa - but needs a bit of TLC

  • 4 of 5

Had a nice stay at the Stoddard house last week, and really appreciated the ability to walk around Napa without getting in a car. The home is beautiful (kitchen is a bit small and outdated so consider this if you plan to do some cooking), but the outdoor areas (especially the gardens) need some TLC. Unfortunately they weren't in good enough shape to enjoy the back patio or front porch despite the perfect weather, but hopefully they will be taken care of soon.
