Located on the 4th Floor (top) with a view of Kama'ole Beach III. Kam III is a family friendly beach with picnic tables, snorkeling, some shade and lifeguards on duty during the day. They also have a children's playground.
We make sure this condo is comfortable, because we live here four months out of the year. The lanai is large with room to dine outside or relax in the chaise lounge.
The kitchen and living room are comfortable with views of the ocean and great sunsets. The kitchen has everything that you should need including spices and a rice cooker.
The master bedroom has a queen size bed, extra TV and its own bath. The second bedroom has twin beds that can be converted to a king (king linens provided).
A Luxury hotel $500.00 a night, gasoline $4.38 per gallon. Why not be comfortable, feel at home and save a bunch. Cook or BBQ if you want OR go out with the money you save.
Now free high speed internet (ethernet or wireless) is included.
Larry and Marian enjoying an evening out.
Marian Hansen purchased this condo in 2001
Larry's mom lived in Kihei since 1969 and we knew that we would like to spend a great deal of our time there. Although we both still love to ski and spend all winter in Tahoe we enjoy going to Maui for a couple of months after the resort closes and after Labor Day until just before Thanksgiving.
Kama'ole beach parks is one of the nicest on the island of Maui. It is very family friendly with great snorkeling and lifeguards for the timid. The views from the lanai allow you to take it all in.
The condo was perfect for our family of five. Well stocked, wonderful views of the ocean and amazing rate! Owner was super nice, flexible and responsive to all needs and questions. Wonderful Maui experience.
This was the perfect place. We have stayed in Maui Park Shore sever times before and this condo was by far the best. There is nothing bad that can be said about this unit. It was clean, well stocked everything up to date and the views were the wonderful. I am retiring in about 2 years and am coming back to Maui for a month or two and hope to be able to stay in this wonderful unit again. I would recommend this unit to everyone.
The place was perfect for us. We were on the top floor (4th floor). While we had access to an elevator, we were much closer to the stairs so we decided to get a "little bit" of exercise. The condo has no A/C. Was it an issue? When we first walked in around 7pm last Monday, I longed for an A/C. In fact, Nancy said, "Tomorrow, we're going to buy a portable A/C." But....but...but...the moment we opened ALL the windows, and turned on all the fans (there were probably 8 fans in the unit), and with the help of the Hawaiian breeze, who needs an A/C? Having the windows open also allowed us to listen to the birds, chickens, and the waves of the ocean. So having no A/C was not an issue at all. Once you enter the living room/kitchen area, your view directs you to the lanai...and you're looking out to Kamaole Beach Park III, and a panoramic view of the trees, mountains and ocean. This was our home for 9 days. We usually end up buying or renting the basic necessities once we get to Hawaii. We didn't need to do that this time. All of these items were accessible to us at this condo - body board, skim board, beach chairs, beach umbrellas, goggles, and ice coolers. The kitchen had access to a great set of cookware, rice cooker (a must for us), toaster, blenders, and mini-food processor. Nothing was spared. Even the pantry was loaded with more than the basics. There were spice racks, vinegar, Shoyu sauce, olive oil, vegetable oil, pancake syrup. There was a stackable washer and dryer in the unit, and guess what else was provided? Laundry detergent!!! I kid you not. The linen closet had every towel imaginable - clean and very "white" bath towels, facial towels, and an assortment of beach towels. There's Wi-Fi in the unit, and the speed was very decent. As with anything, things will break, and we had no washing machine for 2 days. But all it took was a quick call to the owner, she was on it, got a technician to come out, and got the washing machine fixed. We were really fortunate to have stayed in this condo. And when we return to Maui, I'm hoping we can stay here again. We just couldn't ask for anything more.
I stayed here with my family of 6. The view from the lanai is simply breathtaking. I chose to sleep on the sofa bed all week - best decision I made. I was able to fall asleep and wake up to the sound of the ocean. The house was stocked with just about everything you could need from towels, to sheets, to beach chairs and coolers. The beach across the street was awesome. There were bathrooms, showers, grills - so convenient! We did try other beaches, but just felt the beach across the street from the condo was the best. The location of the condo was great too. Maalea Harbor, Lahaina, and Wailea-Makena were not far drives. Felt like everything was in a fair distance. The house was decorated beautifully and very hawaiian chic. My only complaint is the lack of air condition. There were times when the sun was so strong and beaming through, and the wind just couldn't cool the condo. We ended up buying two more fans to increase the air flow. Maybe during the cooler months it is not so bad. Thank you to Marian - my family enjoyed!!!
We stayed in this fabulous condo for 6 nights during a 10 night trip to Maui. Our only mistake was not staying here for the entire 10 nights. We thought we would "splurge" and stay somewhere in West Maui "oceanfront" for the tail end of our trip at twice this amount and our kids just wanted to return to this gem. Lesson learned. Marian's condo was equipped with everything you could ever need. We stayed in a total of 3 rentals on our trip and this one was by far the most wonderful. When we needed something at the other ones, we had to remind ourselves that we weren't at the right condo! We wouldn't hesitate to book this again and it was extremely comfortable for our family of 5. When we walked in for the first time, we were blown away. Just lovely!
We stayed for 11 days in Marian and Larry's wonderful condo. The condo is spacious, the décor is pleasantly Hawaiian, and as other guests have stated, it is fully stocked with everything one might need. The lanai is large and the view is spectacular at sunset time, as in the photos in the description!
The "Kamaole III" beach park across the street is great for swimming with its wide sandy beach, plus there are other beaches within walking distance. One can also do some snorkeling at the rocky outcrop between Kamaole III and Kamaole II beaches, but there are better areas to snorkel, plus of course lots of snorkel trips to choose from. However, the very best place to see all the colorful Hawaiian fish species and other sea life is the Maui Ocean Center..... a fabulous sea aquarium!
Mahalo, Marian and Larry, for letting others enjoy your comfortable condo We'll be back!
