A newly fitted garden apartment beneath an elegant 1920s grade II listed Villa. Situated in a quiet residential area near to Living Coasts (Torbay's award-winning coastal zoo), and only 300m from Torquay Harbourside and marina with its variety of restaurants, bars, entertainment and fabulous views. Golden sands and warm shallow waters at Torre Abbey Sands are within strolling distance. The beautiful Devon coastline is a joy to explore by bike, or by walking along the breathtaking South West Coast Path which passes beside the property. There are stunning views of the whole Torbay area from nearby Daddyhole Plain.

About Jerry and Catherine Daniell

We are a couple with four children ( our two boys live in France) and have had the privilege of growing up in Torbay and surrounding areas. We love eating out at all of the local restaurants and visiting other great locations nearby such as Dartmouth and Salcombe. Torquay is becoming more and more on the "Food Map" with great local produce. I (Catherine) have a passion for cooking, travel and languages. Jerry loves eating and fine wines! Our other interests in the bay include visiting historical sites and going on long coastal walks with my girls, friends and little French bulldog, Claude. I would always be happy to recommend places to go.

We feel very lucky to live in such a great location and rarely need to use cabs due to the proximity to all of our amenities.

This spacious garden flat is located near Torquay's infamous landmarks. Within a short stroll, you will arrive at our stunning marina,town, favourite restaurants and bars. Beaches are within a 5 minute walk with plenty of coastal walks. There is no need to take your car out !

We live in a beautiful Victorian property in a stunning location.The garden flat is very spacious and benefits from modern appliances and good quality furnishings. We pride ourselves on providing our customers with mostly Dorma bedding and good quality towels.

  • Both bathrooms are spacious. The first bathroom has a double shower with glass surround, a bath, toliet and vanity unit with sink. The other bathroom has a shower, toliet and vanity unit with sink. There is an outside door which is useful for guests that have come straight off the beach or been sailing. They can access the bathroom without going through main areas of the house.

Clean, comfortable and convenient

This apartment is well located only a few hundred yards from Torquay Harbour. The accommodation is clean and modern and very well equipped. If you don't fancy cooking there are numerous restaurants and bars within walking distance. There is quite a steep hill from the harbour to the property but unless you have significant mobility issues it shouldn't cause any problems. There is ample private parking and a small garden ideal for catching the sun or even having a BBQ. The owner was friendly and helpful from booking to check out and made us feel most welcome. We can definitely recommend this place.

Fantastic apartment in a very central but quiet location. Ideal launchpad for exploring S Devon

Had a really lovely week in S Devon with this apartment being a fantastic and easy option for 7 of us. So much to see and do in the area and lovely to come back to a warm, welcoming place. The owners were very helpful, kind and unobtrusive. Thoroughly recommend this apartment for anyone looking for an easy, central but quiet place to stay.

Lovely property in a great location.

In our party was 2 families of 4 and our mum. The property had ample space for all of us and had been decorated to a very high standard. We all loved the little features like dimmable lights in all the rooms and the cupboards were well stocked with essentials. The location of the property is just up the road from the Living Coast which is great for the town centre and we really did have a wonderful stay here.

Would highly recommend the property.

Fabulous apartment!

This is an absolute gem - a newly built apartment with all mod cons just a short walk away from the harbour. (Slightly longer walking back up the hill!!) We went as 2 families, one with 3 boys under 13 and there was ample room for the 7 of us. We all loved the lighting system which saved any fumbling for switches in the middle of the night and the apartment is comfortable and warm. Lovely comfy beds with nice quality bedding and pillows.

We were out for most of the day and ate out locally, lots of restaurants and bars nearby which are child friendly. This apartment is a winner - we'll definitely book it again.

Cons: Steepish steps down to front door which could be difficult for elderly or anyone with mobility problems. A hand rail would help!

We will look at a rail which is a great idea. For the elderly, we do allow them to go down the slope around the side. We hope you visit again Regards Jerry and Catherine x

Excellent Family Accommodation

Extremely clean, modern and spacious apartment completed to a very high standard, Complete with all essentials needed. Walking distance from Torquay Harbor and town centre.Very friendly and welcoming owner. Catherine was a pleasure to deal with and even had flowers waiting as it was known to be a 40th wedding anniversary celebration. As a family would definitely recommend and will be visiting again very soon
