Overview

Hvar Villa Rental Photos and Description

5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, sleeps 10

The detached stone villa is set in a walled garden within the 13th century town walls. Moments from the busy square yet secluded with shady terraces to sit out on.

There are sea views from the house and garden.

Double doors from the street open into a Dvor or private limestone paved yard.

Up some steps from here is a separate double bedroom with en suite bathroom in its own wing detached from the main house.

On the ground floor is a study with sofa bed and en suite bathroom and a double bedroom .

On the first floor there are 2 double bedrooms (1 ensuite) and another communal bathroom.

On the second floor there is a large open plan modern kitchen with a living room and also gallery which sleeps 2.

The villa is newly refurbished with limestone floors and is fully furnished with all new linen and bed-cloths

Outside is a beautiful eating terrace with sea views and an ancient vine.

There are sun loungers in the garden which has oranges, figs, bougainvillea and jasmine.

The location is first class being within moments of the stunning Venetian Square with its coffee shops, restaurants and bars. It is also only 5 minutes walk to the nearest beach. On nearby beaches there is sailing, water skiing, banana rides and windsurfing available. There is a sports centre with 6 tennis courts.

Hvar offers some of the best bars and night clubs in the Mediterranium including Veneranda (visited by Prince Harry this summer) and Carpe Diem which takes its guests to a nearby island to party. There are several bars with live music and clasical concerts in the open square of the Franciscan Monastery.

Several vine producers offer wine tastings on the island and fresh seafood specialities are served in many local restaurants.

For those prepared to get up early, fresh fish is sold in the market all through the year to drop on the BBQ at the house.

Easyjet, Wizzair and BA, as well as Croatian Airlines now fly to Split which has cut the cost of flying dramatically. There are 3 sailings each day from Split to Hvar Town for pedestrians and a number of car ferries from Split to Stari Grad 20 km from Hvar.

Jadrolinja also run an overnight car ferry Rijeka to Stari Grad on Hvar.

Blue Line have the same from Italy.

You can also take a taxi boat to pick you up from Split Airport and take you to Hvar town.

A car is not essential but it does make it easier to explore the island. It is 70 kilometres long and there are wonderful beaches and villages to visit on the coast as well as stunning scenery inland with walking and mountain bike trails marked in the mountains.

There is a full programme of cultural events through the summer including concerts in the Franciscan monastery, music in the Venetian theatre, one of the oldest in Europe, and more concerts in the town square. There are bars with live music and many night clubs and discoteques.

Fantastic villa, especially for a girls week away!

  • 5 of 5

6 of us girls had a brilliant time away in Villa Santorini - perfect location in the middle of Hvar Town which some fantastic and excellent value restaurants within a stones throw.

The terrace in articular is a fantastic asset to the villa and is filled with high quality sunbeds and comfy cushions. After a hot few hours on the terrace the cool air conditioned open-plan kitchen area was a welcome relief - a perfect balance of sun and shade on the property. The terrace was beautiful in the evening and a great venue for outdoor eating and BBQs. The views are stunning.

Finally Hvar is a beautiful old town which is a must visit. There is a good mix of culture, water activities (the boat tours around nearby islands were a particular highlight), food and bars which can cater to any group/need.

I genuily don't think we could have asked for a better location, villa or price for our stay. I would thoroughly recommend to groups of friends and families alike.

A beautiful villa in Hvar old town

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful! We really enjoyed the house: big, stylish, new, in a splendid position in the very center of the old town. The villa was ready and clean, everything worked fine. The owner provided us very useful instructions and hints. I definitely recommend it!

The wide terrace is gorgeous, with plenty of room for all of us. Equipped with 2 tables, bbq, chairs and sun-beds.

Rooms are comfortable, all with king size bed, air conditioning and windows.

The kitchen is big and well equipped (refrigerator, oven, dish washer, etc.).

The 4 bathrooms are wide, all with shower.

Gorgeous, stunning, amazing!

  • 5 of 5

Villa Santorini is a beautifully remodeled villa located within the walls of old Hvar. The interior is light, bright and sparkling clean with all of the modern amenities. The kitchen is stocked for cooking and dining in (or alfresco on the expansive and panoramic terrace).

Our group of 7 had more than enough room to spread out and found the location to be the perfect quiet respite from the excitement of the town square just a short walk away (ok, many, many steps up hill..but great exercise!!)

Gordana was great to work with during the booking process and all transactions were handled professionally and the security deposit refund was issued promptly.

We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Hint: Bring some muscle to help you get your bags up the stairs -- this was an arduous process as we did not pack lightly.

Awesome Villa in Hvar Town

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for one week in hvar town at this amazing villa. The sleeping rooms, bathrooms, kitchen and living room and also the terrace were very beautiful and we had enough space for each of the 9 group members. Although the villa was just in the center of the old town with all the restaurants and bars, it was a quiet and place to relax. That relaxing that I almost couldn’t get my friends out of the house. In real the view and the house looks also more beautiful as the pictures shown.

Also the communication before going to hvar with Gordana was really friendly and helpful she prepared us perfectly how to get to hvar and to the villa.

We were absolutely glad for this opportunity to stay in the villa santorini and would book it immediately again if we would visit hvar next year.

FANTASTIC!

  • 5 of 5

We fell in love with this place. Our group of 10 girls arrived at the house and reacted like excited school girls. It's tucked away in the middle of Hvar Old Town up some cobbled streets, seconds walk from the local restaurants and culture but set-back enough to avoid noise disturbance at night.

The house itself is an old building with a modern interior. Every room was large and immaculate with a light and airy feel throughout. Without doubt the pièce de résistance is the large patio overlooking the harbour, surrounded by grape vine- photos on this site don't do it justice! Lastly, Gordana was a great communicator. She was incredibly helpful, providing a thorough welcome pack and local info. prior to our arrival. Thanks for making our holiday so special!

Amazing villa in an amazing place

  • 5 of 5

We were visiting Croatia for the fifth time, Hvar for the fourth time, It is a very special place, made even better for our stay at Villa Santorini.

We were over for a friends wedding so this made a fantastic base for 9 friends to spend time together. The villa is a little haven from all the hustle and bustle yet being so close to the main hub. The rooms were are all fantastic with AC and bathrooms to match. The decoration is to a very high standard and has all the mod cons you should need.

We had an issue with the dishwasher but this was fixed the next day without any fuss or hassle to us.

The only thing this villa misses is a pool, but hey you can't have everything and the sea is only 3 minutes away.

I would couldn't recommend this villa higher, its awesome.

Hvar town has the most perfectly preserved Town Square from the Venetian era outside Dubrovnik. It plays the role of sitting room to the town with the Cathedral at one end and the Venetian Theatre over the boathouse at the other. Set within the 13th century town walls the stone villa has beautiful views of the port and enjoys a garden, with shady vines, bougainvillea, pomegranate and an orange tree, to sunbathe and relax in.

The town attracts the glitterati from all over the world who arrive in spectacular yachts for the stunning architecture and seafood restaurants. The town centre is a car free zone making it a safe playground for children who can explore the winding cobbled streets, the Venetian Palaces and the busy harbour. Inland the mountains rise to 2000 feet with hill towns set among the vineyards, olive groves and the fields ofl lavender. The scent of lavender greets the seaborne visitors.

Other Activities: Hvar town is also a Mecca for night-life with 2 venues which keep the clubbers going to 5.00am every morning

There is a table and chairs to eat outside. The villa is newly decorated with all new linen and bed-cloths. It is only a 5 minute walk past the shops and stalls on the seafront to the nearest beach. The best swimming is near the Amphora hotel where there is plenty of room and excellent restaurants for snacks and capuccino. There are many beaches on nearby islands where you can go on small boats daily from Hvar port. The island has the highest number of sunshine hours of any Adriatic resort. Due to its position well away from the mainland it also has pollution free seas. The town itself has a southerly aspect sheltered by the mountains to the North. The Pakleni Otoci are a necklace of islands directly to the south which shelter the port from high seas.
