We enjoyed our stay here. The property is a very short walk to the beach and to the tail end of Golden Gate Park. We enjoyed walking and seeing (finally) the entire Golden Gate Park. The weather was great - enjoy the coolness vs the crazy heat of SoCal. This is our 2nd time staying in one of Jacob's places and he always makes our stay fun and enjoyable. He is readily available & just a call away if we ever needed anything.
The apartment is wonderfully set up with 2 good sized bedrooms and a kitchen/living combination. However as a city, SF as the city is meant to be enjoyed outdoors.
You won't be disappointed as the apartment is perfect to come back to once you've depleted all your energies exploring all the San Francisco has to offer. Hit up some of the local hot spot like The Pizza Place on Noriega or Java Beach Cafe or Beachside Cafe all within walking distance.
Thanks Jacob as always for making our stay wonderful.

We had a fantastic time in this apartment.
There was everything we needed. The appartment is very good equipment and in quiet a good shape.
Many thanks to Jacob - he was very hospitable, reliable and always available whenever we had a question.
The striking distance to the ocean is amazing and it´s quiet convenient to get everywhere you want by car or tram.
Auto 20 min.
Thanks a lot.
We highly recommend this property. Our recent stay at this property was extremely pleasant. Our family has two adults, a 3-yr old, a 12-yr old and a 15-yr old. Between beds and futon cushions, everyone had their own sleeping surfaces in bedrooms, which was great. The older kids could still be sleeping while the rest of the family was in the common areas. So much better than a hotel.
Everything was very nice and very clean. There were plenty of linens for bed and bath and all were of nice quality. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking items, utensils, dishes, etc. We just had to buy the food.
We really appreciated the thoughtfulness of the owner who keeps a few toys and kids DVD's on hand, as well as there is a Netflix account and easy internet access. This made things really easy with entertaining the kids. In fact, I think they might have wanted more time at the apartment to enjoy these things. The family guest pass to the CA Academy of Sciences was great and saved our family of 5 a lot of money when we visited there.
The location was great for us because it was more low key. It wouldn't be optimal for people who want to be in the thick of things. The kids loved the beach. It was easy to park by SF standards. There aren't a lot of shops or restaurants, but one can make do. It is only a block away from a street car station and it was easy to go into downtown SF from there.
One minor improvement I would suggest would be to install black curtains. It would look nice and help cut out some of the morning sun. It was quite bright in the apartment. Otherwise, everything was nicely appointed and clean.
Unqualified recommendation for this 2BR apartment in San Francisco.
Property description was fully accurate, and property maintenance and cleanliness were great. This is a bright and comfortable apartment. We had a few good surprises: the kitchen appliances and cookware are what you'd (like to) have at home. Nice living room furnishings and fancy TV setup (cable, blu-ray player w/ selection of discs). No bad surprises.
Apartment has a washing machine, but not a clothes washer. This seems fairly common in San Francisco. There's a laundromat a block downhill that's clean, reasonably priced, and open long hours.
Generally, the apartment is in a residential neighborhood. Parking is on-street, and free (as of 2011), a big plus in San Francisco. (There are bus lines w/in a short walk for visitors w/o a car.) A supermarket and a drugstore are nearby.
Another plus: the apartment is near two big parks and a beach (more suitable for jogging than swimming).
Every contact w/ the owner was positive, and he was consistently helpful.
I'd recommend this apartment to family and friends. I think it's best suited to people who want a roomy home to come home to, and who want to do their own cooking: couples, families. It's also suited to athletic or adventurous visitors: there are many bikers and joggers in the neighborhood; parks and beaches offer lots of opportunities for recreation and sport. It may suit people with certain disabilities, because it's on one level, roomy, and bright; this having been said, there's a step to enter, a step-in bath/shower, and a hilly neighborhood. Finally, the apartment is suited to people who've already been to San Francisco or first-time visitors who don't want to stay in a touristy area: the apartment is in the heart of a safe and welcoming residential neighborhood with plenty of local color (hills, architecture), but it's not at Fisherman's Wharf or Union Square (either of which are easily reached by car or bus).
At first I was surprised by the fact that the unit is at the back of the house and there is no view, except of the walls of the neighbours. That being said, the unit is confortable, well-maintained and clean. It is also very well fitted with cooking ustensils (no microwave though). There is also a huge tv, many choices of DVD and board games for every age. My toddler son really enjoyed the games and the DVDs. There is no washing machine (powder is available) but the laundromat is minutes away. The owner provides detailed informations about where to find the grocery store, laundromat, local café, transport, etc.
There is a nice local café close by where you can even buy croissants for your breakfast.
The access for public transport is also minutes away from the flat. There is also parking available if you have a car.
The flat is very conveniently located if you want to explore the north of San Francisco, the bay area, Golden Gate Park and of course enjoy the splendid beach. Again the flat is 5 minutes walk from a great beach.
It was perfect – hospitality was great – Jacob cares about your experience and clearly goes well out of his way to make sure you have everything you need. Blue Ray DVD player with tons of movies for kids and adults alike. Beds were seriously comfortable – they use all natural cleaning products so the place smells nice vs. reeking of chemical and bleach which we avoid in our own home. We were there for 3 nights and would definitely stay there again., We arrived with our 6 month old and Jacob had a pack and play set up and ready to go – it was awesome. The sleeper cushions were perfect for your 4 year old – she didn’t even are about not having her own room or her own bed – fell asleep as soon as her head hit the pillow. You never know what you are going to get when you rent a place and it is good to walk in and let out a sigh of relief knowing you have everything you need o be comfortable, your belongings feel safe and you have access to the rest of the city at your fingertips. The weather wasn’t quite great for an early AM walk on the beach but I have to imagine how wonderful this place would be in late June – all of July – August and into September for the insta beach access. Big props to Jacob for going the extra mile to make his guests feel at home. I must have reviewed 30 properties before deciding on this one so the leg work is done – of it is available for your stay, you really can’t go wrong. Cheers & Have Fun!!!
