My husband, our dog, and I spent one month in this delightful home, which had everything we needed to make a successful vacation. The photos give you a the perfect snap shot of what you will find. The home was spotless from top to bottom. The owner responded to our every need. Our dog, had a large fenced in yard and we had beautuful cut flowers to out dining table. Only 1/2 mile from the center of Lenox we walked into to town for our daily ice cream fix and were temped by some of the best shopping in the Berkshires. Tanglewood is a 5 minute drive. The lenox public library offers many computers for public use(bring you own computer, the house is wired for computers) so we could keep up with our e-mails.I love to cook, so a well appointed kitchen was importand. There were ample pots and pans and sharp knives. The owner is a delight, nothing is too much for her. You'll love this charmer.
My husband and I stayed here for two months (Nov 1 - Dec 31, 2015), along with our two dogs, and had the very best of experiences. We were in the process of moving from NJ to Lenox, and amidst all of the stress I can't say how great the counterbalance was of temporarily residing in such a well-kept and welcoming home, along with a very helpful owner (Carol, who lives locally). The layout of the home was perfect, with more or less an open concept downstairs and three bedrooms upstairs. Our dogs thoroughly enjoyed the yard, and it was such a nice place for us to sit with coffee in the morning. The proximity to town was perfect: far enough away so you didn't get the people traffic, yet close enough for you to walk into town if you wanted. Our dogs loved the walk around town and surrounding, quiet neighborhoods... plenty of places to explore right outside the front door. The more extensive area, of course, provides endless opportunities for outdoor activities. Carol was always was always available with a wealth of information, willing to offer activity suggestions and/or help with questions I had regarding where to go for what, along with being available for anything that needed assistance with the home (which was never needed). I also really appreciated the pots and pans and other kitchen utensils: given that we were relocating our family, we cooked in most nights rather than the usual half in/half out of a vacation, and I really appreciated the ease of the kitchen. We highly recommend this location if you're looking for an easy, comfortable, pleasant, and welcoming venue to stay during a visit to Lenox, MA.
We rented Carol's lovely home for a college reunion weekend in Lenox. The house was perfectly clean upon our arrival and Carol was very accommodating with our group. We combined the weekend with a visit to Tanglewood and lots of exercise in the local area. A perfect weekend away!
*Note: Steep stairs to access the home's only bath located on the second floor
My husband and I have vacationed at this charming home with our children (ages 9 and 12) on two different occasions during the winter. Despite it being an older home, it is very cozy and incredibly clean. It is well-equipped with everything that you could need for a great stay. It is centrally located for skiing and is close to shopping--5 mins. to grocery store and 8 mins. to Lee Outlet Mall. We also enjoyed many good restaurants and movie theatres within a 10 minute drive.
Aside from all of this, one of the main reasons we chose to rent this home again was because of the owner. During both of our stays she went out of her way to make our visits as pleasant and enjoyable as possible. We would definitely recommend this property someone!
My husband and I spent several nights at this charming little house. It is freshly painted, tastefully decorated, and the kitchen is well stocked. There is a lovely little garden in the back, which can be easily viewed from inside. It was a convenience to have the house equipped with wi-fi, and we liked the option of watching cable TV if we wanted (although, as it turned out, we were too busy!). The house is well located - close to shops and restaurants in Lenox as well as to Tanglewood, Shakespeare & Company, and Edith Wharton's estate, the Mount. The owner is helpful and accessible. I highly recommend this house to potential visitors to Lenox.
My boyfriend, dog, and I had a great time at this cute house. It had everything we needed, was centrally located (2 min drive to Lenox). The owner was really nice to deal with as well. Would recommend this property to anyone interested.
