At the end of a silent cul-de-sac, the Rocky Roost compound sits behind large iron gates on one and a half acres. The compound includes: the Main Residence, Cabin, and Suite. With 120 feet of Lake frontage, the property faces the majestic South and East shorelines, and boulders, aspens, and large pines on both sides frame the home.

The master suite has a spectacular lake view, a king size bed, and adjoining bath. The second bedroom has a queen size bed and adjoining bath. The third bedroom has a queen size bed with a bathroom next to it that includes a steam shower. The fourth bedroom has three twin beds and an en-suite bathroom. There is also a game room with space for kids to sleep in sleeping bags. You reach the front door through a private shady courtyard that has areas among the boulders for barbecuing and lounging. The entrance area is separated from the lower living room by a antique stone fireplace. The upper living room boasts a hand made copper fireplace built directly into the granite boulder that juts through the floor. The main deck and house surround a massive first growth ponderosa pine. This deck has breathtaking lake views and plenty of room for dining, lounging, and enjoying the hot tub. Consider this review more of a reflection.... We had the luxury of staying at Rocky Roost several times in the '90's. Pure fate that we discovered this beautiful, old Tahoe slice of heaven. We tried for several years to arrange going back, but discovered it was not being rented. We used to barter fresh PNW Salmon with Cameron, the caretaker, to convince the then owners to rent the site. So glad to see it is again available. You will never forget a stay at Rocky Roost....
