Virginia Highlands is a hip revitalized neighborhood with lots of interesting clubs and restaurants in easy walking distance. Piedmont Park and the Carter Presidential Library are great attractions and very close by. Quality supermarkets nearby have all the essentials. My wife and I enjoyed our breakfast and coffee on the shaded back porch before heading out for the days touring. As noted, there are several comfortable rooms for sitting and relaxing with good air conditioning during summer heat. Most importantly, the property had personality and the feel of a loving and thoughtful hand in design and execution. We've had many visits to VRBO houses and apartments and this was a real standout. Communication with owner couldn't have been warmer or more inviting. Thanks again for all.
Our family of ladies spent a glorious weekend at this home. The photos do not do justice to the beauty and comfort of this retreat. Everything has been provided for a comfortable stay. The many inviting spots in the home to relax are welcoming. Sitting in the sunroom, early morning, enjoying the quiet and serenity is a special treat in the heart of the city. Location is perfect and owner was a gem to work with. We highly recommend !!!!
We surprised our Dad with a trip to Atlanta for a game. This rental truly felt like we were staying in someone's home, not a threadbare, non stocked rental like some I have rented on VRBO. We are all in real estate and absolutely loved the architecture and incredible remodels happening throughout the tree lined neighborhood. Lots of shops, restaurants and bars within a one mile radius and close to other happening parts of town as well. Photos truly don't do it justice, it is even nicer in person. Perfect front porch to sit and relax. We were brainstorming at departure for another reason to come to Atlanta and stay here. Only thing we couldn't find was a pizza cutter and pan, and if that's the only thing it lacked, you've found a great rental!!!
I recently stayed in this lovely house for two nights with my sister-in-law. The house is just perfect….nestled in the historic Virginia Highland neighborhood which is a walker’s delight, the house is just a short distance from unique cafes, restaurants, and shops while still being in town. The owner has furnished the house with great care and taste. We had everything we needed and felt total comfort and peace while there. We hope to stay for a longer visit next time. Highly recommend!
My wife and I adopted a baby in Atlanta, and we all stayed here for three weeks in June, 2014. Everything in the bungalow works together to give a wonderful homey feel, which is exactly what we were looking for. While an older place, the rooms are quite spacious and flow into each other really well. The updated kitchen has a large stove and oven, along with all the utensils you need to cook a meal for a family. The front and back porch are perfect for sitting back and enjoying the cool evening breezes. The front-loading washer and dryer were a HUGE convenience. The home is walking distance to Virginia Highlands, and we thoroughly enjoyed the restaurants and shops there. Ellen, the owner, is super easy to work with. Overall, it was an amazing experience. If we find ourselves back in Atlanta, this will be where we want to stay.
This cottage is in absolutely perfect condition with everything you need to feel at home. The rooms are spacious and decorated with beautiful furniture. Everything is top quality, right down to the cookware and linens. Each bedroom has its unique style, with ultra comfortable beds. The three indoor sitting areas (living room, den and family room off the kitchen) give you plenty of room to relax. Outdoors, the back deck and front porch let you overlook the great neighborhood. It is a quiet area of beautifully restored bungalows, very close to downtown. The best part is that you can walk to all the shops and restaurants of Virginia Highlands, or take a very short drive to Trader's Joe's, Whole Foods or regular grocery stores. My friends and I stayed here for our annual women's get-a-way and can't recommend it highly enough. Ellen, the owner, was a pleasure to work with.
Walking distance to boutiques, coffee shops, restaurants, Trader Joes, Piedmont Part, Beltline walking and biking trail. Best location in Virginia Highland neighborhood. Public transportation bus 1 block over will take you to Marta station
